Umm…it’s called role-play. It’s an important part of childhood. Have you never seen pretend lawn mowers, cars, strollers?
My kids love to clean…especially if its a small size. I take 1 of the rods out of the swiffer and let them use that. Perfect size!!

My son LOVES to “clean”! Out of all the toys at toys r us he picked the toy broom! He’s going to love this set!
I didn’t know till I had my little girl, but anything I do, she wants to do too. I have already gotten her one of those little swiffer dusters because when I didn’t, she was grabbing drying towels and clothes trying to imitate me! Lol.
Well, one, these toys are for pretend play — the same kind of play as pretending to be a mommy or a daddy and taking care of a doll, and so on, like Beth said. Also, what’s wrong with having children clean? My kids like to clean and get excited when they can help. I think it teaches them how to be a productive part of the household, and builds skills that they will use their entire lives.
My 2yo boy loves to help me vacuum and sweep as well. I wouldn’t mind getting this but still too pricey.
I know, my 1 1/2 year old little girl would love this but I still don’t want to pay that much 🙁 I’m so cheap haha.
Omg that idea of taking one rod out of the Swiffer is a great idea! My son always wants to sweep with it when he sees me! Now i can make it smaller for him:) i think its cute, he’s learning how to clean, and we arent using harsh chemicals! Whats the harm:)
Role play toys are fine, but the illustration on the box is incredibly sexist.
