    I love red box

    • nicolegammeter

      😀

  2. Yoli

Have anyone tried these codes at the Redbox Kiosk? Thanks!

    • fran

Yoli, we used to go to the box all the time, but now I only do it online, it’s so much easier.
You just pick your movie, pick the location for pick up, enter the promo code, it’s shows “free”, checkout, and they send you instructions on how to pick it up.

  3. lillee

Thanks! We’re watching Captain America tonight.

    • nicolegammeter

      Enjoy the movie! 🙂

  4. naucathy57

TOLD ME IT WASN’T A VALID CODE 🙁

    • fran

I didn’t try it yet, but make sure, if you copy and paste, just make sure you don’t have any spaces before of after the code.

      • fran

I just used it online and it worked for me! Maybe try a different browser. I did it in IE.

  5. Heather

Just reserved an xbox 360 game for my daughter. Worked beautifully! Paid only $0.85. Thanks so much!

    • nicolegammeter

      You’re so welcome, Heather! 🙂

  6. Jax

Anyone have redbox online? Can I use the code for that too?

    • nicolegammeter

You may use it to reserve a video online for pickup at a kiosk. I’m not quite sure if it’s valid for the streaming program…if anyone finds out, please let us know!

  7. Jill

I got Godzilla for my husband. hee hee 🙂

    • nicolegammeter

      • Jill

Hi Fran. Thanks! I installed the redbox app on my iPhone. I will give it a try there. Movie night! 👍

    • fran

My pleasure, Yoli! I don’t have a cell, I just do it on my laptop! Enjoy!

  12. Yoli

I have that movie sitting on my coffee table, Fran. Recommended by a friend who rented it yesterday (I’m borrowing hers). Just waiting for my one year to take her nap 😉. Thanks! Any other recommendations? I still have this free rental to use.

    • fran

Have the tissues handy! I liked Blended with Drew Barrymore! The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz was good. Heaven is for Real is good, too! Enjoy your movies!
I don’t know what we are going to get, we’ve seen so many of them already. I have this code above and hubby got one on his phone with that text thing.

      • Yoli

Oh yes, definitely between The Other Woman and Heaven is For Real. Thanks Fran!

  13. truescoops

  17. Heather

Worked at the Record at Wallets for a free rental!!!!

  18. Heather

Redbox i mean.. dumb spell check

  19. Heather

    At Walmart lol

    • MiisNoel

Heather … Your comments made me laugh. I kinda thought the Record was a spell correction for Red Box, but I was wondering about Wallets? 🙂 thought it was maybe a local spot.

    • fran

Heather, you should send that in to Ellen! LOL!

  20. MiisNoel

Thanx Collin! Just rented Godzilla online for pick-up! And I may just grab Oculus if it’s available at the kiosk. (Haven’t rented in a long-time.)

    • w

Oculus was dumb..don’t waste your time

  21. Shannon

Yay! I was able to use it 5 times!!!

    • Sasha

How do you use it 5 times?

    • fran

Just a heads up, Shannon. I saw it reported on here that some hipsters did that and were charged for them!!

    • MiisNoel

Wow! That’s a lot of movies to watch! 🙂 I had thought about using the Promo Code again when I went down to the kiosk to pick up the rental I reserved online … But, then figured I wouldn’t be able to watch two this evening. Plus Red Box always has some sorta promotional code running.

  22. Kristie

I learned my lesson last week about redbox…. To keep the receipt emails! I returned 2 movies to the same kiosk at same time. A couple days later I had extra charges on my account. I called and the guy told me I kept 1 movie for extra days that’s why they charged me. I told him it was returned at the same time as the other. He looked into it more and saw that it didn’t register as “returned” and someone else rented it and when they returned it, it returned under my account. He said he could NOT refund the money only give me 1 promo code. Needless to say I am disputing it with AMEX. Hopefully they fight it for me.

    • MiisNoel

That sux! They should have refunded all the additional charges or given you the equivalent in promo codes! I’ve always been a little leery about Red Box … I hate not having the ability to speak to someone in person when there is an issue. (Once we received a DVD that was horribly scratched and would not play. Another time someone had replaced the scan sticker on it w/a bogus old movie. I was so afraid they’d think I did it!) However we have NO video rental stores left in my LARGE city. Red Box is the only option. And the On Demand prices are too high.

      • fran

If you ever have a problem with a DVD rental from Redbox, call them. They are usually good at helping. In the case of the DVD that was scratched, they would have given you a free promo code and asked for the info on it so they could have it removed from the box. I called about something one time and mentioned to the rep that we rented a movie that was just terrible. I didn’t ask for a replacement, but she said “let me give you a free code for that movie”. I thought that was so nice of her, and unexpected!! Call them next time!

        • MiisNoel

Thank you Fran! 🙂 I definitely did call them immediately, as I didn’t want to be held responsible and possibly charged for the cost of the movies. And both times they were very nice and offered a promotional code as compensation.

          • fran

            Cool!! My pleasure!! 😉

            • RB

Well, they are usually good about it– we have also had the scratched and won’t play issue– BUT they also thought that we didn’t return a video for weeks and months later put on a charge ($30+). They claimed they’d been billing VISA the entire time, but After talking to my bank, I found this to be untrue, and I opted not to pay it. The only thing is, I can never use that card again at Redbox– it gets denied, like I’m on their blacklist!

  23. Alanna

If you want to use it 5 times you have to do 5 different transactions. You put in the oct20 code each time.

    • Yoli

      Great! 👍 thanks..

  24. The Mom @ Babes in Hairland

Thanks so much for the code! Even better it actually was free this time — in UT they’ve usually only given us $1.20 off and videos are now $1.50. But this time it took the full $1.50 so yay! 🙂 Not that I’m complaining about having to pay 30 cents for a video — but free is always better! 🙂

  25. Elizabeth

thanks for the code. Movie night tonight after the kid is in bed.

  26. Lisa

i used at the stand and it worked

  27. Preethi

Thanks collin! Worked for me rio2 for the kids.

  28. Deb

Funny how you’re the only one with that problem. Maybe try being more positive next time?

    • w

who are you talking to me?

      • Deb

No, W, not you. They erased the 2 comments from the person I replied to, so now my comment makes no sense! lol Ah, well. They were just complaining anyway.

  29. w

I was wondering if I use the code for a movie but don’t pick up till tomorrow would it still be there and pd for (I know it would be due back tomorrow too)..Just not going out again till tomorrow..thanks

    • fran

Yes, W, it will still be there! You just have to return it by 9 PM tomorrow night or you will be charged for an extra day.

      • w

        thanks
