I do not think that these prices are today only prices, however I am not positive!? Please keep in mind that prices tend to change often so you may want to grab that deal as soon as possible! 🙂
(Wal-Mart Employee here) Yes, these prices are lasting as long as supplies last. The movies come in on special promo and do not change pricing until we sell them. Problem is, they may have sold fast considering they were available starting 6pm on Thanksgiving.

Is there any way to do this deal in the store without having printed the coupon?
You could buy it at the regular price of $7.96 and then keep your receipt and bring it in to customer service with the coupon to get $5 back. HTH
The prices on these are listed in Wal-Mart’s Black Friday Ad so to answer everyone’s question: yes these are a special promo, but as long as they are in stock at your Wal-Mart you can get tehm. Good luck finding them though since this was a 6pm on Thanksgiving deal. Ymmv.
I remember last year that they had their DVDs on sale at the Black Friday prices basically until they were all gone which took at least a month at my store.
Yup, you’re right! Most of these DVDs that are for Black Friday come with a sticker stating PROMO on it.

Went to Walmart at 4pm today, they had a ton of movies left and a lot of other hot items that I thought had sold out.
What great timing! I was just heading out to Walmart when I saw this post, I printed my coupons and picked up Peabody and Xmen while I was there. To answer everyone’s questions about the stocking and pricing…only the movies with the PROMO sticker on them are available for the $7.96 price. (For example, the Peabody movie in the regular movie section without the PROMO sticker still scans at full price. The barcodes are different.) These movies with the stickers were part of a special Black Friday display, and if they are the same as last year, the prices will stay the same until they sell out, but there will be no additional ones stocked (except maybe any that are returned). My guess is that most stores are already sold out (or close to it), though. I didn’t see any of the Cops movie, I could only find a few copies of Xmen, and I had to search the store for the Peabody (which I found in a cart of items to be returned to stock from the front registers).
That is not true at my Wal-Mart. I got the DVDs that did not say promo on them. They were in the regular aisle with the new releases. I would scan to make sure though. 🙂

I went to Walmart this afternoon and found that the Mr. Peabody & Sherman dvd’s in the regular section (not in the promo section and not marked promo) were also ringing up at $7.96 as well! Thanks to Jill above for the heads up!

The Other Woman was also 7.96 and when you use $5 off coupon, it goes down to 2.96.
As far as pricing go, what was said above was correct. The promo labeled has a special UPC that will indicate BF pricing and never goes up until the units are sold off. Back in January, I saw Fried Green Tomatoes for 1.96. Somehow no one wanted that but, it had promo label on it.
