can I get another 5% off with red card??

    • Nicole

      Unfortunately no- I tried !!

      • Elizabeth

Too bad. I didn’t use my Redcard because of that. Free shipping anyway, and rewards from credit cards. BTW, don’t forget cash back sites like ebates.

        • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

Though I had to wait PST for the offer, but indeed, the Target.com 10% off gift cards is on and a-cracking based on CST! I checked the eBates site, and the 2.5% isn’t applicable to gift card purchases. I clicked-through anyway, as a habit!

        • Jaimie

Gift cards don’t qualify as cash back on ebates. This is listed in their special conditions

          • Elizabeth

Oh, bummer. Thanks for letting me know.

        • Megan

Ebates excludes gift card purchases. It says so under the special terms section.

  2. Esther

Do you have to pay for shipping?

    • Amber

All shipping is free from Target for the season (happy holidays gift from Target)

  3. Tina

    Great teacher gifts!

  4. Manuela

Does anyone know if I can use Target gift cards to buy other Gift cards with? Like buying a disney gift card.

    • Elizabeth

I’m wondering the same thing. Can you use Disney gift cards to purchase Disney park tickets?

      • Manuela

I know you can use the disney gift card to pay for disney resort and shopping, not sure about tickets.

    • Shanshan

      Yes.

    • JoAnna

You can 🙂 I always save $5 gift cards from purchases and use them to buy fancier gift cards for gifts. I just made 10% more from the comfort of my home

  5. Lindak

I can’t get in on the website. I really hope I don’t have to venture out to a store! We can do multiple orders?

    • eyez1998

Lindak this appears to be online only

    • Audra

Limit $300 per household. So a max of $30 discount.

    • Torri

Don’t do separate orders. My second one didn’t do the discount and I only did $100 total

      • Sue

Me, too Torri 🙁 I would have ordered three $100 cards in one order if I had known but it says limit of $300 per household so it should work for multiple orders??

        • Dbldbl

One per household/account. But read what InO Burger wrote in this thread: went to complete more orders using private browser mode and guest checkout! It works!!

  6. molly

Does anyone know if they sell gift cards for stores in the mall? Specifically The Buckle.

    • eyez1998

I think this deal is only for target store cards

      • molly

        Ok, thank you!

    • Audra

This deal is only for target gift cards. VISA gift cards and others are excluded.

  7. Amber

Sounds silly…but some of the reviews on the site say that the e-card can only be used online. If I choose the ‘mail’ option will it be a regular-old giftcard?

    • Audra

Yes. They will mail you a card.

    • April

If you have the target app you click the dropdown menu go to giftcards then go to my giftcards thats where egiftcards can be added so you can use them instore.

      • April

Also you open the app log into my giftcards after you load them and thats how you use egiftcards on store cause they judt scan your phone.

        • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

^^^ this tip! Thank you! I was just on one of the gift card description pages and it said ” eGiftCards can only be used online. For more information about how to use in stores, check out our mobile GiftCards page.” I just broke down a $100 purchase to 4 $25 emailed cards, with the intent of converting to save within the Target app. Nice!

      • CW

April you saved me! I was in a panic. I bought some online and needed to use it in store. Thank you thank you thank you! Also for anyone doing this, if you are loading these 10% off cards to your Target app, the balance won’t show until Saturday morning when the giftcard is active. I had to call Target about it, as the balance was showing $0.

    • Yra R.

      yes

    • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

There were 3 options; e-mail, mail and mobile. If you choose the electronic options, I’m thinking there’s a way to convert these to ‘regular’ cards and not be limited to shopping online.

    • Amber

      Awesome! Thank you ladies!

  8. Ivan

Shop at Target all the time, so bought the $500 one…just like getting $50 for free!

    • Josie

I thought there was a $300 limit? Were you able to get the full 10%? That’s awesome!! I wish I had tried to do that!

    • Swirlypop

The 10% off only applies to $300. $30 max credit per purchase. 😊

  9. MommyJen

You can use any Target gift card to buy the discounted ones. I applied the $80 giftcard I got yesturday with the iPad mini purchase to my gift card purchase today. I effectively boosted the value of the card by 10%.

    • Priscilla G.

      MommyJen:
      I just did the same!
I got the $80 GC and boost the value to $100 (only pay $10 out of pocket).

*Planning to use it for last minute Christmas shopping 🙂

  10. eyez1998

I just looked at the ad and the deal is available in stores as well

  11. Gwen

Also want to mention that the ITunes gift cards are buy 1 get one 30% off.. They are for the email ones only as far as I could tell. So I bought a $50 target card (mailed) and four $15 ITunes card (emaile) and received a $16.55 discount.. Not to shabby for cards I buy as gifts anyway!

    • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

I’m tempted to redeem my just-arrived Target Pharmacy rewards on the iTunes offer; not sure if I can use them on this Target gift card offer, though…

      • Pny

The discounted Target cards cannot be used until tomorrow (Saturday), FYI

  12. Ell

Can anyone know if u can pre-order online & just do store pick up instead of mail option. I know this is a lame question but i just want to avoid those people stealing packages/mail when it gets delivered. Thanks for the help.

    • Meg

So it’s really like getting 5% off instead of 10 since you can’t use your Red card to buy these?

      • JessiE

What do you mean? It is 10% … But no extra 5% on top so basically you can’t get 15% …

        • Mer

When you use the gift card you can’t use your red card in the store. So you don’t get your normal 5% off. Using this gift card gets you 10% off but for those of us used to getting 5% off all the time, this gift card is only an extra 5% off.

          • Christina

            True… but 5% extra is 5% extra!

      • Elise

What happens if you split payment? ie put $5 on your red card, and the rest on the gift card. (I don’t have a red card.)

    • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

I believe since it is processed at a facility that just authorizes and issues gift cards that there’s not a way for in-store pick-up of Target gift cards. I totally agree with trying to avoid mail theft; have you though about emailing yourself the cards and converting to physical ones when you print them out upon receiving the email?

  13. Heather Cooper

Yay it let me use the $10 Target Ecard I got from the Gyft deal Collin posted about a couple days ago so I got a $15 card and opted to get it by mail so I can give it to my daughter’s teacher…all it cost me was the $5 I paid for the Gyft card and then $3.50 out of pocket to target.com! $15 for only $8.50 gotta love that thanks again Collin!!!!!!!!

    • nicolegammeter

      Way to go, Heather! 🙂

  14. Nina

FYI if you go to the store there really is no limit. Just go to multiple cash registers. I did that and used the same credit card with no issues. Happy shopping everyone!

  15. I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

I just remembered on the printed ad (and perhaps detailed on the ad scans) that this offer is one per household! Darn! Went back in to buy more gift cards, with a different form of payment and wanted to select different card designs; the discount did not reflect in the checkout box the 2nd time around… womp womp!

  16. Suzanne

Just bought $300 worth – some for gifts and some to have for future Target shopping adventures! thanks.

    • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

…with the advantage of having a RedCard with gift card use, I plan to split transact my purchases once the gift card arrives; telling the cashier, I’d like to use $1 from the card and the balance of the purchase all on the RedCard to make sure I get the everyday 5% off

      • Rachel

I Luv, I’m not sure what you mean by this. Are you thinking in order to get the extra 30 days for returns? If so, don’t you mean put just $1 on the red card and the rest on the gift card? Do tell!

        • Cami

          I’m wondering too!

          • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

future Target Run example: $23.53. use Cartwheel. use MQ. use TQ. bring in reusable bag ($0.05 per bag). total, $18.91. form of payment: will tell cashier, split transaction, please! $1 from this [awesome Black Friday giftcard deal] and the rest on this [RedCard debit]. gain that 30-day extended as well as the everday 5% off!

        • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

oh! haven’t thought about the extra days for returns, but that’s a good point! My household loves buying FreshPet which is rarely on sale. Matter of fact, we do a lot of PFresh/Grocery at our Target now. I’m saying with the split transactions option at the register, I’m going to maxx out usage of the value of the gift card, combined with RedCard debit; if we’re getting up to $30 free, might as well slowly use up the card value along side the RedCard. Initially I thought always getting the everyday 5% off but I forgot about the extended return feature; which is another good tip!

          • Tara H

Just a heads up you only get the 5% discount on the amount that goes on your red card so you won’t save 5% on any part that is paid with the gift card.

            • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

good to know; that’s why I was going to use the smallest amount on the gift card portion. now i’m rethinking maybe paying $0.25 off the gift card and balance on the RedCard. and yes, I’ll be that customer you’ll roll your eyes at while waiting behind me LOL (I always UPC label-ready for the scanner, and have my payment at the ready)

            • ang

Maybe I am slow today, but I still don’t get why, price-wise, this is an advantage?

            • Anna

Ang, I think the only advantage is getting the extra time for returns.

  17. Cami

Does anyone have any idea how much the xbox one will be going for at target/target.com starting tomorrow? I couldn’t get one online yesterday so I was thinking of buying the $300 gift card to at least some sort of deal on it

    • Cami

also, can you use gift cards to pay for your redcard balance?…that would be a great way to get both the 10% gift card discount as well as the 5% credit card discount!

      • JoAnna

You can’t use gift cards to pay your credit card bill—that would have been a good idea if you could

        • Cami

I didn’t think so lol but thanks!

  18. I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

I’m all about this offer, so pardon me for totally parsing this deal! here’s the FAQ on the gift card offer from the website:

“Save 10% on Target Gift Cards Friday November 28 from 6am through 12 noon CT
Target GiftCards sold between 6am and 12 noon Central time Friday, November 28 may be redeemed beginning Saturday, November 29. Offer valid for up to $300 in Target GiftCard purchases per household. Purchases of Target GiftCards that exceed certain transaction limits may be voided. Quantities limited; no rain checks. Target GiftCard images are limited. In the event that the specific Target GiftCard image you request is not available, we may replace the Target GiftCard image with a comparable Target GiftCard. Offer excludes Target Visa(r) Gift Cards, Target MasterCard(r) Gift Cards, Target American Express(r) Gift Cards, gift cards issued by other merchants, reloads of previously purchased Target GiftCards, Target GiftCards given in exchange for electronic trade-ins and Target GiftCards provided for merchandise returns. Terms and conditions apply to gift cards.”

Sigh. I should have just bought the max $300 on one card, but was planning to use them as last-minute gifts on hand…

    • sara

so why should you have bought all on one card?

      • I Luv InO (@anml_styl)

I locked myself out with the one-offer-per-household. But my tech came out and realized: 1) cleared cookies, 2)Chrome browser incognito mode, and 3)guest checkout!

I virtually got to “run to different cash lanes” with this, and got to spend what I wanted to on this awesome deal!

    • Maria

I don’t see why we should have bought $300 on one card…? I hope that’s not true, I bought three $100 cards :-/

      • jenn

I think it is one transaction. I purchased 4 $25 cards. I still haven’t gotten a confirmation email, but my credit card account online shows a charge for $90 which is 10%. You should be fine if those were all in the same transaction.

  19. christy

Can someone tell me if this is a good move on my part? I purchased the Playstation 3 bundle with Lego Batman 3 yesterday for $269.99 and is ready at the store (w/ my redcard & did go through cashback site Savingstar I think)… There is a cartwheel offer for 15% off Playstation that expires tomorrow (can only be used in store). My plan is to go to the store and “return” it and repurchase it with the cartwheel 15% off, now with the giftcard deal I am considering buying one for $300, get the 10% off and then go tomorrow and re-buy the playstation with the giftcard and use the cartwheel (expires on 11/29). Does this sound good or is going to flop on me?

    • Priscilla G.

      Hi Christy,

You can ask at the Customer Service counter if they can “adjust the price” (15% cartwheel).

I think you got a good deal 🙂

If you return it keep in my mind you won’t be able to “repurchase it”. So, before you do anything verify in Electronic to see if they have any available for purchase.

      Happy holidays!

  20. Alissa

Ordered almost 2 hours ago and still haven’t received an email confirmation.

    • JoAnna

Check your spam folder—my email arrived within a minute or so of purchase

      • Alissa

Target emails never go to my spam folder. Checked anyway and still no email.

        • K

          I haven’t received a confirmation email either

    • Jennifer B.

My confirmation also came almost immediately, but I used PayPal if that makes any difference. I had separately requested my forgotten password to the Target site and still do not have that e-mail, though, so perhaps the Target system is extremely backed up if you checked out NOT as a guest (with your account instead)?

    • Nicole

I never receive confirmation emails when I order from target online. anyone have any ideas?

  21. Cindy

Does the 10% off show in the shopping cart? I am at the complete purchase screen and still no discount.

    • Jennifer B.

It did show on the complete purchase screen (along with the discount for free shipping being subtracted), not next to the gift cards themselves, but in the total block. I think there are only certain gift cards that this works with (although there is quite a variety: Christmas, baby, birthday, etc.). Also, this should only work on $300 or less, if you happen to have a larger amount.

  22. ang

Got $300 worth in different denominations…some 25, some 10, some 50, some 100….I think in my life I will spend $300 at Target. Probably won’t last me six months. 🙂 But Should I have gotten one card with all $3–? Confused by some comments above

    • Dbldbl

I’m buying different denoms so can have them for last-minute on-hand holiday gifts. I won’t load them on app until I know I won’t have to give them out this holiday season…

  23. MiisNoel

Paid $1.32 Out of Pocket and redeemed $115.68 in Gift Cards/Groupons I’d been holding on to …
Received $130 in Target eGiftCards! WooHoo!!! 😀

  24. E

Thank you! We turned a $100 shower gift card into $110 just in time for Christmas. Thank you Colin and Target. 🙂

  25. awlrain

anyone else having trouble adding to cart?

  26. awlrain

Ooh I don’t know what I did but I got them in after refreshing a few times. Nevermind!! 🙂

  27. Audra

It’s been almost 24 hours and I still don’t have a confirmation email. Anyone else?

    • Michael

Same here. More than 36 hrs….no confirm yet. Paypal payment “pending”

  28. Damariz Soto

I could use all the discounts & coupons available for the holidays thanks Target 🙂

  29. Lisa C.

I’m not sure if anyone else has had this come up, but I received an email from Target this week stating that the shipping of the gift cards has been delayed until up to December 15th. That’s a pain. Was hoping to use them quickly for Christmas shopping….

    • Jennifer B.

Yes, my cards are also delayed. I was going to use them for teacher gifts, so if they arrive too much later, I cannot gift them this year! It does almost feel like Target has backburnered these orders knowing they will benefit from the delay since folks like you won’t be able to utilize the cards with the discount. I guess that’s probably not the case, but it does feel like it to me!

      • Jennifer B.

Ordered on 11/28. Finally arrived today, 12/11. At least I can still gift them for school teachers!

        • Jennifer B.

Ugh! False alarm! I thought it was my gift cards, but it was my free samples. So, still no gift cards. That’s almost two weeks.

    • Laura

I havent received an email yet but my cards haven’t shipped yet. Very disappointing….
