Happy Friday: Winnings from Receipt Survey

A couple of weeks ago, I started wondering if anyone ever won those surveys at the bottom of receipts that ask for feedback in exchange for a chance at winning a gift card. I decided, why not try? I have a lot of receipts from all of these hip bargains after all! The second survey I took was an instant winner! It was from my latest Target shopping trip – $25 Target gift card for two minutes of feedback is not too shabby! Plus, it came in the mail just a few days later. I am now making it my goal to complete more of these when I have a few extra minutes. You never know when you might be a lucky winner. I am curious if any other Hip readers have one gift cards or prizes this way.

sure, just add something to your cart, head to checkout (sign in or as a guest) then under “payment”, enter the card # and pin. It’ll show how much was applied. I got $10. And I got an email that panties are going to be 7/$27 tomorrow & Sunday, so I guess I’ll be heading to the mall with my email. Hope there isn’t any trouble!

I won $1000 from my grocery store once! I fill them out religiously, maybe I will have another winner one of these days.

Nike is the best. Every time you fill out a survey you get a free $5 code. I go whenever I am in the area and buy something for as close to $5 as I can. The last time I got elites for $2.
I encourage everyone to fill out surveys every time you have a nice shopping trip. People usually only take the time when they want to complain, but those survey scores are sometimes really important to the stores and corporate comes down really hard on them if scores aren’t to a certain standard. ( I work at one such store and we really get hassled about survey scores) try to remember the name of any cashier or employee that is nice or helpful and mention it, sometimes they get special recognition. Just a nice (and completely free) way to pay it forward, especially this time of year 🙂
I like to point out a good job done well all the time and those surveys are always my favorite! It makes me feel good. I just did one at Costco for an employee that went beyond for an elderly couple. It was very sweet.
I filled one out for Wendy’s a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised with a variety of free item coupons in the mail including two that were for “any menu items or combos for you and a guest. No $ limit. ” My hubby and I selected several items and enjoyed ourselves.
I have won a couple times taking surveys. Target, Toys R Us, and a couple others. Def worth it! Congrats. That’s exciting winning something 😄
If you ever eat at a Culver’s restaurant they have a survey request at the end of the receipt. It’s very short – about 8 questions. At the end of the online survey you get a code for a free custard. It’s like getting $2 back on your meal. Yummy!

I just got an email for a cvs survey to get $10 or $2 ecb’s. The survey had some ? Marks for answers and then I got kicked out and got the $2 ecb’s. I emailed cvs about the error and they sent me the $10 ecb’s! Yay, free $12!

I won this onetime from Olive Garden! However it came with a free magazine subscription for a year THEN it was a requirement to purchase the magazine for 4 years..it ended up costing more than the prize money. Total rip off

I’m about to do a *HOT* survey at the bottom of my receipt from The Cheesecake Factory. It says I will get a $10 egift card for doing the survey. Not a chance for it, but that I will get it!

I know our local McD’s (four are owned by the same person) receipts print that if you complete the survey you can receive B1G1Free Egg McMuffin or Quarter Pounder w/Cheese. And Jack in the Box’s receipts also include the survey too … You get two FREE tacos. It’s not much, but it is something if you eat fast food.

I do Target receipt surveys too and haven’t won. Sometimes it says that you can be an instant winner at the end of the survey but when I get to the end its not there. Anyone know why?
Unfortunately, I never received my email from them! I did it the second time and everything. I even keep checking my spam folder. If anyone has a code they aren’t using, I would so greatly appreciate it. If I ever end up getting my codes, I’ll be sure to pay it forward to someone else. I wouldn’t be greedy with it. I’ve won the $25 target gift card once. And that is about it for when I do those surveys. I can’t do the Walmart ones so no chances there .

I won $5,000 from the target survey in college. They don’t give that much out anymore but man was I eating good in the dorms for a long time. Lol!
