I have amazon prime and none of my friends & family are interested in splitting the cost…is any H2savers interested in doing that…? Also is this safe? What can go wrong?

    • Robin

Everything can go wrong. Everyone using the account has access to each other’s credit cards for Amazon purchases.

      • Liz

I dont think thats true Robin…i did share with my friend for free when she was in the US for 6 months…and i didnt have her credit card details or her purchase history…and neither did she…but thanks so much for responding.

        • tilla ham

it is definitely true. whatever payment info you save in account everyone has access to. I once shared with my mother in law but only because we could certainly trust each other

    • Allison

I agree with Robin! I share Prime with my mom and 2 sisters and I can see they credit info and they can see mine.

      • Amanda C

Then you guys are doing it wrong. I share with 4 friends and we all have our own separate log-in info with our own email accounts and we can NOT see what each other is ordering or payment info. The primary person has to “share” the membership and the people you are sharing with will all make up their own Amazon accounts if they don’t already have one.

        • Liz

Exactly Amanda….i have also shared before and i could nvr c any information…neither CC info or purchase info.

        • Rebecca

Amanda C is correct. You have your own separate amazon accounts, as you probably already do. The person who purchases prime has the option to invite people. That will simply give them free shipping on their account, nothing else will be shared. Only the main prime member can access the prime movies,tv, etc. I pay for prime & share with my husband & parents. They have my login info if they want to watch on it though, as I have my mom’s login info so I can add free books to her kindle for her. Obviously you would only do that if you trust the person.

          • tilla ham

i thought only a person in your household could share?!?!? does amazon allow this for seperate addresses? and accounts?

            • Liz

Tilla i hope you can chk this msg but just wanted to let you know that every person you share ur amazon membership can have different addressess. You dont need to live in the same household.

        • Amanda C

The primary person on the Prime account just has to go to Manage Your Prime Membership and at the very bottom there is the option to Invite A Household Member. You have to provide their name, email and birthdate which they confirm once accepting the invite. That is how they create their own account but are able to share the benefits. It’s super easy.

          • Amanda C

Rebecca, you beat me to it with the explanation. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Liz

Maybe u and family all log in with 1 id/password? That is the only way i can think of y you can see CC info.

    • Bobbi

If you share the membership, only the primary membership holder can use the perks like Prime movies, music, etc. The people you share with only get the free shipping. And if you follow the rules, you’re only supposed to share with other household members. Just FYI.

Just a little something to check and and make you feel like your getting more bang for you Amazon Prime Bucks, is their new Prime music service. I love it! Such a great variety of music, artist, albums etc. check it put. As for sharing, i
i think only someone you personally know would be able to do that. Thats the only way to feel comfortable, even then?? I would only share one with my adult aged children. hth.
