I got the complimentary memberships. One was a general free trial, another was free for military members). I haven’t even used it once. Coz it never applies to things I wanna buy (shoes, hat, gloves… etc). I always end up doing store pick up to save shipping fees.
i bought the membership this past summer for the grilling deals. Was disappointed to find out i PAID for free shipping for the year… but i have to spend 35$ to get it and it doesnt apply to all items. does this post mean they changed the policy?
I’m confused as I thought you had to spend $35 to get free shipping. If this has changed I would actually consider paying for the membership. It was nice before they changed their policy to include a ridiculous minimum. Can anyone confirm?
SYW Max is free shipping on any item sold by kmart or sears directly that is $10 or more, or total orders of $30 or more.
It also applies if you multiple of a lower priced item (for example, if there was a toy that was $5 and you bought two of the exact same toy, your order would be $10 and it would ship free. If there was a toy that was $3 and you bought 4 of them, your order would ship free as its over the $10 on that specific item. If though, you bought a $5 toy and a $6 toy that were different, your order would not ship free.) Hope that helps! If anyone else has questions I’d be happy to help answer them.
The minimum is $30 for free shipping with qualifying ShopYourWay Max items. But if you shop there a lot even paying $39/year, it’s only $3 since you’ll get $3 in surprise points each month. And if you can get it for $9.99, then with the surprise points you can make money.
With the $3 surprise points that you get, that would be $36 back, so essentially it looks cheap to me. Any one know how long you have to spend the surprise points that you get?
Offers me 180 days free or a regular membership for $39. I don’t have a banner that says $9.99 for a year.
I’m not finding the $9.99 membership either. Offering me the same thing as you Lauren. I’m sure if I go for the 180 days, it will tell me I already did it before.
Try a different browser – many people had better luck that way.
I’ve used it a lot but I paid $39 for it. Since you get $3 in Surprise points every month it only costs you $3 for the free shipping. Free shipping doesn’t apply to many 3rd party vendor items.
If you already have SYW Max you can also purchase this and it will extend your membership another year. My membership was good through 7/27/15 and I bought this a few days ago and it extended my membership through 7/26/16

I had a free trial of this sometime ago and only used it one time. I’d rather just do free store pick up than buy a membership.
I just added it to my cart at the regular price, and the price dropped to the 9.99 when I went to check out.

SYW doesn’t cost anything to sign up but SYW MAX does cost because that is a membership that allows for free shipping, etc as described in the comments above. If you just want SYW without the “MAX” part, then you can sign up for free. It is similar to a loyalty card like you have a grocery stores and drug stores.
You get periodic emails and discounts. You also get points for buying things. The points can later be redeemed as discounts on a future purchase.

Its definitely worth the money. I have saved lots of money this year with it. My nearest kmart/sears is 30 minutes away and I never go that way. So having things ship to my house is great.
I received an email yesterday from Shop Your Way offering a year membership for $1. My membership expired on December 26th and a few days ago I had added a membership to my cart for $9.99 but never checked out. Maybe this is why I got the $1 offer.
I got the same email with an offer to renew for one dollar. I wasn’t going to, but for one dollar…..
I received one also but when I entered the code it made it free and they would not allow me to check out. They said they can’t process an order with 0 balance. I have contacted kmart and shop your way still no answer.

I was able to purchase this for 9.99 through Sears as well. I had points to use there that were due to expire. It wouldn’t go through using points for the entire amount, so I took off enough to purchase for a cent after points.
So you pay $9.99 but will get back $36 in points over a year?

KMART Sucks!!!!! I log on to see why I haven’t gotten a pickup text yet and find that they’ve cancelled yet another order without even letting me know. They did charge my Discover card, customer service told me they would credit it back in 7-10 days but I cannot have my product.

They did that to me too I bought a new toaster Oven never got a text went to store they said it was not found so they canceled it. But they did credit my card right there for it.
This must not be available to everyone. I tried a different browser and get no banner on either one. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution?
I saw no banner either. I just added one to my cart at the $39 price and it dropped to 9.99 in my cart.

I have been trying without any luck either, but think I found the trick. Instead of clicking on any banners, I went directly to the Shop Your Way website and found the MAX 2 day shipping link under Shopping. I added it to my cart from there and it did drop to $9.99. This did not work for me on Sears or Kmart websites. It also allowed me to pay for the entire 9.99 with points, which is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the heads up! I had an offer to try Max for 6 months. So I signed up for that and then purchased the annual membership with a $10 credit that I had. A year and a half of Max for free…not bad!
That’s a tough decision for me. Two years ago, I did so much shopping there, that I received VIP membership and they gave me 6 months of free Max, but since then, they’ve kept renewing it for me. I’ve saved a little over $100 with the syw max, it says. But I don’t know whether to count on them renewing it “forever”. They just gave me 3 more months.
That was weird…I went to check out, and I had 40,020 in points…when I go to ck out, it said I had 9,990 in points for this order, so I paid 9,989….and I paid one penny for a year of membership, AND it never touched my $40 in points!! Awsome, I’ll take it. THANKS!
