I will say this. Long ago (ha, yeah like when I was 15… 12 years, wow.) I used to write html and Java script codes for webpages (just some I did myself and for friends.) A couple years ago a company my Dh was working for from time to time wanted their website updated and they didn’t have a whole lot of money to pay for an actual webmaster. So I was willing to update it. It was hosted on go daddy. To be honest I’d much rather have a blank hank webpage I could write from start to finish than have to tweak their templates over and over. It was maddening! Good price though for web hosting.
How is having a domain name through a company better than simply being a part of a website like blogspot.com?
U can name ur company website anything rather than blogspot…..
U also has freedom to design it however u like instead of following templates from blogspot.
I used godaddy a long time ago. I was able to code it from scratch.
I have no experience with this but would love to set up a website for our small business. Anyone have tips? Thanks!
My husband and I are thinking about making a blog for stay at home dads. This would be perfect for us! Any opinions out there?
That sounds like an awesome idea!
Thank you for your kind words!! We actually have a tiny blog started… But it’s on blogspot. We were thinking we might actually get a follower or two if we had a .com address.
We recently decided to have my husband stay home. He was working too much/crazy hours. That’s what our blog will be based on… Enjoying life with your family.
Oh man!! And I just bought my domain through name cheap and thought I scored with a 20% coupon.lol. Guess I will need to create another site.
