    Does anyone know why when I try to summit my rebate it says still determining my eligible rebate, could it be bc I have it shipped to store and have no picked up yet?

      That happened to me too, but I went ahead and submitted it. When I checked back later my rebate info was there. I think it takes a while for all the computers to communicate with each other. 🙂

    I did this in store because I had a coupon otherwise it is $2.01 unless you have a binder to exchange. The in store rebate says a limit of 4 and the online says a limit of 2. Does that mean you can do 4 in store and 2 online?

      Yes, you can do 2 online and 4 in store. They are different rebates. If you are buying in store, use the 25% off office supplies coupon too, to make it a money maker!

    Is anyone having problems with their rebate? Submitted mine after placing the online order (1/9/14) and the next day I received an email from Staples stating that they couldn’t match my rebate to an offer. I’ve called Staples twice, but they are saying that there is some sort of system problem with this promotion and I need to call back next week. What??? I better get my rebates!

      I am having the same issue. They man I talked to said to contact next week. He said that the information is in the system but that they cannot access it. The rebate changed this week. It is only for 5.99 this time. So I could not get another one at that price to be sure. I’ll be calling next Tuesday to check on this.

      I got this same e-mail and I did a live chat with them and they said next week it will be resolved, and that I didn’t need to re-submit my rebate. So I’ll just be keeping tabs on it.

      I have had so much trouble with this rebate. I had all of the issues already described , by myself and others, and after multiple chat sessions I was told I had to do a mail-in rebate. So I did. Just today I got cards in the mail but they weren’t checks they said I was missing all of the information and my rebate couldn’t be processed until I provided it all. (My rebate was 100% complete, with UPCs cut from the binders and everything.) So I couldn’t take the binders back to the stores, but couldn’t re-send information since I no longer had it. Grrrr!

      So I just did another chat session, and after giving the rebate number and my order number and all of that, before I even went into all the crap I have dealt with with this rebate, the agent typed this:

      2:20:35 PM : KevinC: Ok. I’ve created a record to have your rebate processed.
      2:20:50 PM : KevinC: A $17.96 check will be mailed out within the next 15 days.

      It was amazing! So I hope my check finally comes. If anyone is still struggling with this, call, or chat with them!

          I am not having any luck when I inquire. They say “Unfortunately, i was unable to locate any record.” It looks like I might have to return my binders. I hope they have a record when I try to return! Anybody else having any luck?

            Did you message them through the website? that is what I did and they informed me that they had corrected the problem. When I tried to track it on my own, nothing was showing up at all… which yes, made me worry a bit. Hopefully if you message them, you can get it straightened out.

    I also am having trouble getting my rebate to go through. I also called the # given in an email they sent me. I am about ready to take my 2 binders to the store for a complete price return. What IS their problem?

    chatted with them last week and they said it would be fine this week. checked today and still nothing, so i tried and resubmitted. Will wait for a day or two and then will talk again. If nothing comes of it I am going to take the binders to the store for returns.

    I just chatted with them as well. They said they are having trouble with that rebate, to give it till next week. I think past mid-february if it’s not fixed. I’ll simply return the binders.

      Same here. I’m returning mine as soon as I get the time. Every time I contact them, they keep telling me wait 1 more week for it to be straightened out. I wasted so much time calling, emailing and chatting with them.

        Unfortunately, I can’t return mine because the kids have used them. This is SO annoying. I never would have spent that much for a binder. I only got them because of the rebate.

        Has anyone heard anything else? They asked me for additional information a few weeks ago which I provided, but I haven’t heard back.

    So count me in the group still waiting for my rebate. I contacted them Jan. 17. Heard back from them Jan. 20 saying they were trying to fix the problem and give them 15 business days to have it show up. I contacted them again Feb. 12. I still haven’t heard anything and there is still no record of it in my Easy Rebate account. I will send another e-mail today.

      Staples told me a month ago that they’d look into it and to give them 48 hours. I e-mailed them again twice last week and they just keep sending the auto “You’ll hear back from us within 48 hours” e-mails, but it’s a week later and I still haven’t gotten a response.

      I know the rebate offer number is 14-15607

      I FINALLY got a reply that they’re manually processing mine.

      I got the following e-mail yesterday,

      ” Your rebate submission did not migrate from the Staples site into our system for processing, it is difficult to determine why.

      However I was able to view your order and I have processed your rebate for you…. “

      I don’t have a campaign code, but I e-mailed them with Rebate offer number 14-15607 and they were able to process it.

        Thanks Dorothy. They sent me an email wanting a whole bunch of more information again, (said they couldn’t find my rebate), so I sent them all of that plus your rebate offer number. Waiting to hear back from them…that was one week ago.

    I contacted them again and they wanted more information which I e-mailed. On March 9 they sent a message saying that they have created a rebate and a check would be generated in 15 days. They also gave me a tracking number. The tracking number still does not work in the Staples Easy Rebate site.

    Wondering if anyone has received this rebate?

      My rebate check came on Monday.
      I had the same trouble–couldn’t track the number and be forewarned that it took more than 15 business days. It took another week after that, but it did come.

      After several emails back and forth, on 3/2 they told me they successfully submitted the rebate and it would be sent in 15 days. I received it in the mail today! Hopefully you receive yours soon.

    I am on hold with them right now to get an update, this time she said b/c this set was purchased online, it was supposed to be a mail-in rebate NOT an Easy Rebate. Seems odd to me as on the bottom of the order receipt I have printed, it says “easy rebate(s) available” and lists this one for Rebate Offer Number 14-15607 and lists the items I purchased (item #82688). But she is going to create a record and have the rebate processed. Looking forward to getting my 4 x $8.98 = $35.92. Hope you all get yours processed too 🙂

    I received a check today for one of the two binders I purchased and submitted a rebate. I guess I’ll be contacting them again.

      I contacted them again asking for the rebate for the 2nd binder (which I purchased in the same order and I submitted for the rebate for both together).

      Today I received a postcard saying that they could not honor the rebate because of a duplicate Staples order number. I have the option of mailing them the postcard back with verifying information.

    Hurray!! After 3-4 phone calls (since January) I FINALLY received a check last week in the mail for two binders. $17.98–was NOT going to let this go. But what a pain. Good luck everyone else.

    UPDATE: After a long phone call on 3/24/15 and the rep validating my rebate and confirming the amount to be $8.98 x 4 binders = $35.92 … well, 4/15/15 I received a check but it is only for 2 binders ($17.96). I am on the phone with another rep now (15 minutes so far)… and he came back telling me that the household limit is 2.

    Is that true? The rebate confirmation page does not indicate any limit information? And if so, why did she confirm on 3/24 that the check would be $35.92.

    Anyone else buy 4 and get the full amount?

      See the original post above – it was limit 2 online. (It was limit 4 if you bought in the store.)

        Thank you!! OH MY…guess I am returning 2 of them then. Will call customer service back tomorrow. Interesting though that this is the first that a rep mentioned it, the other 3 phone calls never said a word about the limit.
