You can use it to make puddings and I use it for a type of low carb hot cereal-
2 tbsp chia seed2 tbsp flax seed meal2 tsp erythritol (I used Swerve Sweetener)1/3 cup hot water2 tbsp heavy cream (optional)2 tbsp nut butter (optional)Berries (optional)InstructionsIn a small bowl, stir together chia seed, flax seed meal, and erythritol.Add hot water, stir and let sit for 2-3 minutes.Stir in cream, nut butter, berries, raisins, chopped nuts…whatever(from all day I dream about food website)
…yum, everyone in my family loves it)

Thanks for the recipe, Jenny! That sounds yummy!

It’s good if you mix it with chocolate almond milk. There is a recipe on pinterest for it but I think it’s 2 cups chocolate almond milk and 6 tablespoons of chia seeds. Yummy.

I pour 1/2 cup almond/coconut blend milk and 1 tbs Chia seeds in a container, mix well then toss in 1/4c steel cut oats. Throw in the fridge overnight so the Chia expands. Then before breakfast I toss in some cut up fruit or homemade fruit puree. It’s a super healthy energizing breakfast!

I love, after a workout, putting a tablespoon or so in a cup of coconut water, letting it sit for 5 minutes, then drinking (i like to use a spoon to get more chia per drink too!) Party in nu mouth 🙂

    • Anne

You can use it in your oatmeal too i got a lot of my recipes through pinterest. These make your smoothies thick and delicious.

  4. Lucy

What is the normal price for these?

    • Jenny

      Around me it’s about 8-10 a lb

  5. Tammy

put it in your yogurt (let it sit for a few minutes and let the chia swell) with some vanilla stevia and it tastes like tapioca pudding!!

  6. Mae :)

I use it sometimes to thicken a simple confit (jam) recipe. 😉
