I loved OfficeMax’s 100% Bonus Rewards… hope this is a good sign of things to come from their merger in 2015. Thanks Collin/H2S!

    • Ruthie

We hated Office Max’s reward program(lost lots of money by not getting the rewards), but love (and always have) the reward program at Office DePot. So far what we have done has worked as good as Office DePot did in the past.

      • mindy

I like office max reward and got so much stuff from it but ever since the merger I haven’t had any deal. Wish I have Staples store close by.

    • JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.)

I always loved OfficeMax’s Rewards system, but since they started this switch to Office Depot it has been miserable and we no longer have the ability to pick up in store.

  2. Amy

I was in Office Depot yesterday and found great deals on Cepacol throat lozenges, Mucinex Fast Max liquid, and Riccolla cough drops, all on clearance. I loaded up and have been putting them to use today.

  3. Ashley

Ooh, what is a fraud prevention gel pen? I’ve never heard of one

    • Just Me

Ooo before we get the real answer my guess is the ink won’t wash off a check

      • Kelli

Yes, that’s exactly what it is/does.

  4. Sharon

With office max, I could use old rewards dollars to purchase new rewards items and still get the rewards. Office depot wouldn’t do that. If you bought items with rewards money at OD you couldn’t get the rewards on those items. Is it still like that?

    • Melody

      That’s my question!!

      • Amber

        my question too

  5. Nicole

This is my first transaction with Office Depot rewards program – I hope it works out.
I loved rolling OfficeMax Rewards, but last year’s offers were almost non-existent so I’m not confident in Office Depot. I’ll try, I had a merchandise credit to apply so I’m hoping that the 100% rewards will get honored. If not, I’ll return the items (hope I don’t have to, the tape would come in super handy!) Fingers crossed!

    • sarah

      Let us know!!!!

    • michelle

Looks like if you pay with a merchandise credit you will not get the rewards according to later posts in this thread.

  6. Lindak

I used to roll my Office Max rewards all the time and it was great. I had a few $ in Office Max rewards left over and was able to use them yesterday at Office Depot to pay for a UPS charge to mail a box to my son. The Office Depot had holiday boxes of 3 and 7 bottles of hotsauce for $2 and $4.

  7. Mel

Does this so-called Rewards Certificate ever expire?

    • michelle

I think it expires 60 days after it is issued. May want to check their website to be sure

  8. Alyssa

I believe you can purchase postage stamps with these rewards

    • Just Me

If that’s true I may be interested!

      • Lindak

I used the office max rewards for postage stamps previously.

  9. natalie

Can I use my rewards certificates with coupons?

Yes. We accept valid coupons when you make a purchase with your rewards certificates. Purchases made with Office Depot® OfficeMax® Rewards and Merchandise Cards/Certificates do not qualify for rewards.

I think the rewards will be look like office depot, they will not roll like OfficeMax before??

    sad…. 🙁

  10. vergin

can u roll office depot rewards like office max

  11. natalie

    no they are not roll
even.. if u pay with merchandise credit or gift card, it will not earn the reward
I just chat with the customer sevice. I told her to tell the director should follow OfficeMax not office depot.

  12. mindy

Now I don’t feel as bad since I already converted all my office max gift cards to Walmart since you can’t roll them anymore. I thought those 100% bonus reward days were a thing of the past. The prices on these things are a bit pricy.

    • Rachel H

How did you put them to walmart? I’d love to do the same with my office max rewards

    • JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.)

Yes, I would like to know how you did that as well.

  13. JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.)

Are we sure that we can’t pay even with a gift card? That just doesn’t make any sense to me. I didn’t like this merger from the beginning and I am liking it less and less everyday…

  14. Sharon

I just left OD feedback about their new rewards program and not being able to roll rewards. I also think it’s ridiculous that you can’t use their coupons on technology items. That doesn’t just mean computers – they consider batteries technology items!
Here’s the link if you want to leave feedback. Under “subject” you can choose My Rewards Program.

I ordered 2 of the packing tapes, and 2 of the packs of labels, free shipping, plus I was able to use a $15 off coupon a $75 officedepot.com order, so this should end up being an MM for me right? The coupon code I used was 11846715, which expires today.

    • JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.)

You will have to report back Jeff. It used to work that way with OM, but I’m guessing not so with OD. You will probably get 100% of what you paid. I will be curious to find out. I am staying out of this round of freebies until we know more about how they work…

  16. craftyscrapbookgirl

You spent 123.96 plus tax after your coupon. You will get back $120 unless you make it to another $10 in rewards since OD issues $10 for each 1000 points. If you hadn’t used a coupon you would have spent $138.96 plus tax. Add two color copies and you would have gotten back $140.

You have till the end of the quarter to spend more to get make it to another $10.

  17. Kayla

Just spoke with an Office Depot member on live chat and confirmed, “(…) if you place the order for the item with 100% back in rewards you will receive the certificate for that amount so you can make use of that certificate and purchase whatever you need at officedepot stores and online.” That includes gift cards, ink, etc.

    • craftyscrapbookgirl

LOL! She even said you could purchase gcs, huh?

Did you read the terms of the offer?

  18. Sharon

They are already out of the Scotch heavy duty shipping tape! Bummer….that’s what I needed the most! 🙁

  19. lancy

how often do they offer 100% back on items? is this a weekly offer?

  20. chau

27April 2017 bought 2 duracell batteries and paid full price, weekly ad said after rewards only 1 cent each, but I called them today, result is no rewards in my account, back and fro over an hour, the agent –(I will issue you $15 cert.),so where”s another $15 rewards,100% back, when you go to the store and check out, it is a lie for the public, because they will ask you what is your cert #, what is……..,finally you have to pay full price again, sorry, rewards not work.
