Yeah right!! I wish any dollar generals around here were coupon friendly!!!!! They won’t even take my $5/25 on Saturdays because they said the register wouldn’t take it. Type it in..duh!!

    • Layla

I would email and complain about it, they should always take the coupons. I had to complain at mine and they tried making me feel like I was a problem

      • Kristen

I have emailed, wrote a letter, called.. You name it

        • Free123

Try going to another Dollar General in your local area …..HTH😊

    • ray

Kristen…I have the same problems. Sometimes the $5 off $25 doesnt go through. I have to tell the cashier to rescan the $5 off $25 coupons. It works every time.

So give the cashier $5 off $25 first then coupon. Make sure dollar general coupon is applied if not tell cashier to rescan $5 off $25.
      Good luck.

This type of DG coupon NEVER works for me… and I’m beyond frustrated with their digital coupon program… I’ve had $20 worth of their coupons not work…

    • April

What a bummer. I haven’t tried digital coupons yet, but this doesn’t give me much hope. I think I’d rather not waste my time. My local DG acts like I’m a criminal when I hand over any coupons.

      • meg

i have never had a problem using the digital coupons. sometimes i do have to enter my phone number twice before it takes it. and i also noticed after i do enter it the cashier pushes a button and then my coupons come off. hth.

  3. Neecie

thanks Collin, my mom will love this!!!

    • nicolegammeter

      You’re welcome, Neecie! 🙂

  4. mel

I can’t get the digital coupons to work at my DG either. totally frustrating when the cashiers don’t even know about this new program or what to do!

  5. Ben

If it does work, can you stack a manufacturer coupon with the digital coupon?

    • meg

Yes you can. As long as the digital coupon isn’t a mfg coupon.

  6. Paul

I would suggest that you try entering your phone number a second time. For some reason, the DG digital coupons do not seem to work for me, on the first try. But, every time, I have to enter my phone number a second time, to get the coupons to work. Then, the coupons actually come off the total showing on the pad and not the register. The cashier has to press some buttons, on the register, to get the register total to update. Always a chore to use Dollar General digital coupons.

    • meg

yep me too. i have never had a problem after entering it twice.

  7. Melissa

Anyone know if Christmas is 90%?

    • Lori

My dollar general in south texas still has it at 70% off.

    • Lisa

We are still at 50% at the one in my town outside of Kansas City. Last year my favorite find was the 2-pack of cheesey Christmas dvds for .25!

      • Paul

I bought a lot of those, last year. Those are just the type of Hallmark Channel-esque movies that my mom likes – LOL

    • Georgia

Mine in Iowa is still 70% off today

  8. Laura

Well – I’m going to try this. I normally don’t shop at Dollar General, so I have no idea how nice the employees are or how this whole digital coupon system of theirs works. Wish me luck! anything to save a buck (or two) 🙂

  9. Heather

My digital coupons NEVER work, yet my moms ALWAYS works. I have asked help from corporate but they thought it was a temporary issue that was fixed…but my coupon still don’t work. Lol.

  10. Allyson

It looks like I am one of the few that doesn’t have trouble at Dollar General. All of the cashiers have either known about the deals or asked another employee without me having to ask someone else. The only issues I have had are minor, I have had to enter my phone number twice and it is slow for the register to update once I enter my info.

  11. Jane

Last time they had this the cashiers were clueless. Today we tried one for the cereal cpns from the list of digital coupons and they were also clueless. They need to train their reps if they are going to offer digital coupons. Walgreen’s has them and never had an issue using them there. Might try tomorrow at a different location if we have time but dollar general seems to be a waste of time.

  12. Kasey

I Read on a Facebook group for couponing at Dollar General that these only apply to non-sale priced items. Does anyone know if this is true or not? Thanks!

    • D

The last time they had this I used it on a few clearance items and it worked.

      • Kasey

Ok, thanks! I will try it today!

  13. dino

I am so sorry but DG has a horrible customer service I am never going back

    • Suzanne H

Agreed. I tried to use coupons there three times and all three times it was a problem and they couldn’t get my order right or they flat out refused coupons for no reason. The cashiers are generally really rude about it and the managers aren’t any better. I won’t shop there anymore.

  14. Lori

Agree with the posters about their horrible customer service. Cashiers are ALWAYS clueless.

  15. libby

It wouldn’t work for me. Manager said to call. I sent an email but I doubt it will get me anywhere. I had the same problem with the 5 off 25 a few weeks ago. The manufacturer digitals come off but not the Dollar General dollar off ones.

  16. Tatyana

It worked for me great 🙂

  17. Paul

I was just looking at the weekly ad and see exactly what I want to use this eCoupon to buy. The 20-ct Little Hug Fruit Barrels drinks are buy 1, get 1 free for $3.50. That’s 40 drinks, at a bit less than $0.04 each. Not, exactly, what I would call a delicious drink. But, kids seem to like them – LOL

    • Terrie

I just left my DG and bought 2 hug fruit drinks B1G1 and it would not take the $2.00 digital coupon. The cashier said you are already saving $1.75 per box , I said but I have a $2.00 coupon and she said well it has to be used on 1 item that totals $2.01 at least and the register takes $1.75 off each item instead of ringing 1 at full price and the other as free. I thought as long as your total was at least $2.01 we could use it .

  18. Georgia

Customer service is subpar at best. The digital coupons ($2 off purchase of $2.01 or more, $3 off $15 purchase, etc) never work. Today I spent $1 more than I should have because of this. Cashiers are less than helpful and calling never works either.

  19. Melissa Roland

worked for me. got two loaves of bread free and used the hubbys number and got a big thing of bleach for a dollar.

  20. ✨KriziaLee✨

It worked like a charm for me… I got 2 huggies wipes 56ct ($2.00each) and I used two .50 cents coupon… So $1 for two bags of wipes plus tax! And I did the same with my husband phone!! Niiceee!! Thanks Collin
