Got some a few days ago and LOVE them!

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and wondering if I should pick up a few of these in bigger sizes for the summer. Anyone have any thoughts about these being good for nursing? I see that you can take the padding out so I was thinkig I could put nursing pads in there. Any thoughts???

I wouldn’t use a sports bra for nursing. Especially if you get engourged. Also, if it’s too tight it can cause clogged milk ducts which can lead to mastitis and trust me you don’t want to experience mastitis. If I were you, I would stick to nursing bras and tanks especially at the beginning before your milk regulates (around 6 weeks post partum)

This is such a good deal, it can’t hurt to get a couple for while your still pregnant.

Emilee has very point though. I got mastitis twice with my youngest and I was so ill it required antibiotics. It would be worth spending the money on a few quality nursing bras when you have the baby and know your size. HTH!

I loved sports bras while nursing! Kept everything “in”, and prevented me from leaking milk as frequently. And comfy 🙂

Sara ~ Emilee probably has the best advice, but I did wear sports bras while I nursed. Mine were not padded, very light-weight/stretchy and 2 sizes bigger than what would be normal for me. I engorged terribly, but I am also not very large breasted so maybe that’s why it worked out for me.
      * Nursing pads are meant to put up right next to your skin so they can soak up the milk and keep it away from your skin. If you exchanged the bra padding for nursing pads you would end up with soaking wet fabric liner ~ NOT good girlfriend lol!

I liked sports bras while nursing, but I wore cotton ones that were not super tight and I’m pretty flat (TMI?) I would not replace the pads in the padded ones with nursing pads as there is a layer of fabric in between and that could get gross. I am also a proponent of the sports bras for when you get the chance to do walks with the stroller. At $5 you could try a couple.

Thanks for all the advice, ladies!! We will be on a tight frugal budget so I can stay home with baby, so I’m trying to think outside the box as much as possible to save a buck. I’m very small chested, so it sounds like I might be able to buy one or two in a bigger size just to try and not put the Breast pads in. 🙂

Personally I LOVED wearing sports bras during pregnancy and while nursing as they gave great support. They even have nursing sports bras! I wouldn’t suggest the heavy compression type but some of the lighter ones give great support and helped me with back pain. At this price it doesn’t hurt to buy a size up and see how you do.

I bought 2 of these style bra’s. I think they are very comfortable. The colors are gorgeous.

Washing tip: “delicaite mode” and air dry, I just hang them in the laundry room rod with those hangers that we use for kids pants 😉 and they look like new.

  4. Kristie

Bought some the other day and love how they fit. So comfortable for everyday wear. Definitely could wear while pregnant and possible nurse with later on. (I would say more suitable for smaller chest…..not a great amount of support)

  5. Mandy

I also got some a couple of days ago and love them too. Even out of the gym, they fit and look great.

  6. April

I could buy 4 with the cartwheel…is that right?

    • L

Yep. But 6 different transactions could be up to 24

This did not work for me! I’m not sure why. I even returned at the customer service and nada! They were on sale for $10, and Cartwheel didn’t work. So disappointing!

    • sherry

The description on cartwheel says light support seamless sports bra so I’m thinking it only works on that style.

    • Linds'

Same thing happened to me. I picked up medium support ones instead of the light support ones. Bummer.

  8. J

I could only get it to scan for cartwheel on the really thin ones…comfy I’m sure but I need a bit more support

  9. J

Should be like the one in the cartwheel picture, then ones below are medium and do not work

  10. Audrey

Didn’t work for me in SC. Only bras it works with are the regular priced $9.99 bras. Didn’t include $10 bras.

    • Katie

Same here. When I scanned the $10 sale ones in the cartwheel app the offer came up as the 20% off clearance offer

      • Audrey

Me too. I didn’t fight it because it says on the cartwheel lightweight. Oh well.

  11. Meg

I am pregnant and bought some a few days ago and I’m seriously considering going back for more… They are so comfy. I’ve been sleeping in them and in the morning I don’t want to take them off!!! Lol

  12. Melissa

The ones pictured are not the ones on sale. If you are wanting them for working out the lightweight ones are not a good choice. There is nothing to them.

  13. Sarah

I brought 3 different sports bras to the register. Two came up for the $10, but cartwheel didn’t work. Luckily a manager came over and took off 50% on the two I purchased. Didn’t see any like the ones pictured!

  14. Lisa

It did not work for me. They were ringing up regular price then the cartwheel kept ringing up at 20% off and they would not change it to 50%. I even showed them it and they kept saying well it must be only 20% for this style bra. Plus they said if it’s on sale for $10 you cannot use the 50%cartwheel. I was mad.

  15. Biz

This is only for the spaghetti strap sports bras. So the yoga bras basically. Total bummer i need the med to high for my workouts 😥

  16. Brooke

Make sure to watch your receipts. I scanned all of mine before getting to the register to make sure I got the right ones. When I checked out only one came up 50% and the others came up 20% even though in the app they all came up 50%.

  17. Lori

Can I use the cartwheel on more than one?

  18. Kath

Thanks for all the comments. So glad I read them my boobs are not light weight lol. So probably would not have worked for me. 🙂

    • Happymama

LOL I hear you. I always read the comments 🙂

    • Katy

      Haha.. Me too!
I’m nursing and DD so I read all comments to find will this work for me 🙂
