Has anyone tried to get a raincheck from Rite Aid for an item that includes an UP reward? I had a raincheck for the Ivory soap a while back & it was buy 1 get 1 50% off plus get a $5 UP with the purchase of 2. The cashier who rang up my order was the same that issued the raincheck but she told me I couldn’t have the UP reward because then the soap would be free. I left without buying anything because she acted like I was stealing. I know that CVS can trigger an ECB for a raincheck item but Rite Aid said they can’t do that. Any info would be helpful in case this happens again. Thanks!
At the Rite Aid that I go to they just write the UP rewards amount at the bottom of the rain check then subtract it from the total when I go back for the item.
That’s what my stores do too. They don’t have a prob if its free. Sometimes I do get a clerk who doesn’t want to give a free item, but the managers will do it.
My store does this too. This makes it even better as you don’t have to come back to use the UP, they just take it off right away.
My store has me pay for the item like I would be getting it that day and they write paid on the rain check. That way I have no problem getting my UP to print right away.
Melanie, Rite Aid cant ‘give’ you an old UP, what they do instead is give you the UP with your rain check..for example if the item was $5.99 with a $5 up, the rain check would be for$.99. Now for your scenario, I really don’t know how they could have done that one. I’ve never had issues with rainchecks. Sometimes I clip out the part of the ad and attach it to my raincheck so the cashier will see how it looked. But your raincheck should be for the ‘net’ amount (the amount less the up).
They are suppose to take the up reward amount off the price of the item. I have had no problem at my store even if its $0 balance. I always cut out the add and put it with my rain check just in case they cant understand the rain check. Today i got a rain check for the I cool so it will be free when they get some in, didn’t really want to pay $13 to get $16 with the coupon. Now if the manager is in when I redeem the rain check she will also let me use the coupon for overage to help pay for other items. I am there best customer and have always do the surveys, even have email corporate to let them know that this is the best store I have ever shopped. Now i have another rite aid 2 miles away and this store is totally opposite of the one I shop at so it all depends on the manager and how she trains her employees. Give kudos to the stores that treat you right and they will always treat you right. Dont always give negative surveys think possitive.
Not to rain on anyone’s parade but a lot of stores don’t carry these. The ones around me either don’t carry them at all, or the shelves were cleared. These are the cheapest Jergen’s full sized item at the stores that carry them, so most people are going to grab those. I wouldn’t run out looking for them.
I also belong to several coupon sites where people are saying their stores are either wiped out or they don’t carry them as well.
The first store I checked didn’t carry that size, but the next one had 3.

Anyone else have trouble getting these coupons? I log into my account, watch the video and then nothing. Both the jergens and last months dove spray deodorant. I sent a complaint via their contact us email. It got kicked back. What the heck?
I’m having issues with getting the coupons too! I watch the videos and then they tell me to log in to my account (I’m already logged in) and then it just takes me to the home page for my account. I don’t see where the coupons go or if I’m supposed to print them out? HELP!!!
I thought something was weird every time I’d log into VV, it takes me to my RA acct to update it. I go back to VV’s and able to watch a few videos before it tells me to log in. Something is up with their site. To get to the coupons, from adperk, click on MyRewards (it’s across the top of the page in a grey bar)
Anyone experienced the cashier give you difficult time when you try to use video value coupon double with manufacturer couple? Video value coupon also says it is manufacturer coupon on the top.
How much are the small 3 oz. ones at RiteAid? Would that work or is that considered a “mini” size?
Mine only had the bigger size (21oz? incl 25% bonus) but if you do the math the 21oz vs 10oz actually works out to be the same price per oz (but you have to shell out more up front of course).
oops scratch that. not sure where i got that but i think it was wishful thinking since the 10 oz comes out to moneymaker!
