I thought this was probably the easiest meal of all the boxed meals to make and we all really liked it! It was too spicy for my kids with the sauce but other than that all good! 🙂

I recently did an order from Green Chef (same concept) and they offer a free one week trial (w/ shipping of $9.) The meals were amazing for the $9 I paid; however I did feel the regular price of $83 per week was much too expensive so I canceled before being billed further. But 3 meals for 2 people for $9 is a great deal if you want to give it a try!
Darn they arent in my area! Looks great! I have tried to like Blue Apron (another service) but after one month of ridiculously complex and often unappetizing results–I cancelled. My first order from Hello Fresh arrives this week!
We just did hello fresh. Great to try at a great start up price, but no where near worth what regular price is we feel.
When I went in to look at this and clicked the offer, it put my total at $71.94 minus $26.98 for the free meals and charged $9 for shipping. I didn’t see an option to just try the free meals for the cost of shipping. Did you have an offer code or see this somewhere else?
Are you talking about Green Chef? Thats where I got the free trial. No code needed, just had to be a new customer. And it was for the omnivore meal plan for 2 people.
If you “get lazy and don’t measure,” take advantage of one of the many deals on digital kitchen scales posted here. If you use it enough/cook enough, you’ll memorize volume/weigh conversions and you’ll cut down on dirty dishes since you can measure in a single bowl without using measuring cups. For example, I measure ingredients for cookies in my mixer’s work bowl. I don’t even bother with a bowl for dry ingredients. Often I measure ingredients right into my hot pan (putting a potholder on the scale first, of course). I doubt that I’d cook from scratch as much as I do if it wasn’t for my kitchen scale.

If they charged 5 cents more per meal ($10.00) than the person trying it would pay just $10.00 for the 4 meals (not $19.80). Guess someone figured that no one would notice.
