Dummy question… What does the amazon fire do exactly
Its a streaming device like the Roku.So you can stream things like your netflix, hulu or prime to your tv. They also have a lot more channels.
Accesses tv/movies with an Internet connection…works via Prime membership. It’s just like Roku, Apple tv, Google tv devices.
You can stream movies on there if you have Amazon prime. We streamed netflix and vudu on there and you can listen to Amazon music and get on youtube etc. You can pretty much stream anything! We absolutely love ours!!!!
Keep in mind that it is just the interface; you still need to pay for subscriptions to Amazon, Netflix, etc. I don’t really see the point.
It’s wonderful! My husband gave it to me for Christmas. If you have Amazon prime, it allows you to stream everything you get on Amazon prime for free. I have been binge watching Parenthood and my kids have loved it because they can now watch hundreds of movies and tv shows for free! In fact, we are looking to get another one for our bedroom.
If I hadn’t bought an external hard drive last year I would have done this. I think I paid $80 just for that last year. This is great.
I love my fire tv stick that I bought from amazon when it was on sale for $19!

I’ve been really debating fire stick vs. fire tv…any opinions out there? Also this seems like a good deal but if I order it and change my mind does anyone know Staple’s return policy on stuff like this?
I debated this to but I went with the fire tv I think the only difference is the remove for fire tv you can talk to and it will automatically search the movie, show etc… you are looking for and bring it up on all that are showing it. I like that feature so that is why I went with it. I love this device very easy to use and since I am a prime member and also have Netflix it comes in very handy.

What is the difference between the fire stick and fire tv? I’m assuming the fire tv must do a lot more since the price is drastically higher.
I just got the stick since I already had a pretty decent hdtv flatscreen.
Since I already have the fire stick, I am thinking to get Roku instead of this deal since i hear Roku has many “hidden” channels you can watch for free. Any suggestions?
