  2. sydclipscoupons

Or do we have to use it on pads ?? I guess the pads.

Thanks Collin! It says only 1 per purchase per customer so I’ll do 2 trans. using self checkout

I wish my local Walmart had self-checkout!

Using coupons at the self checkout at my old Walmart would crash the registers even if you were only using a couple. One time the system crashed, the CSM wouldn’t let me leave with my purchases because they couldn’t verify if my credit card had gone through or not. No receipt printed. I finally had to call my credit card company so they could verify the transaction went through. It was a nightmare so I steer clear of these at Walmart.

Does anyone know how much the smallest pack of these pads costs?

    • TeresaAnn

according to Walmart website, looks like the pads start at $3.46 (Equate options ultra thins) then $3.76 for the others (thicker pads or wings) Good deal to me! 🙂

Coupon Friends – I just got a note from my local food bank and they are desperate for feminine products like pads and tampons for the women in our community. I am sure that this need is everywhere! Please consider donating some of your purchases in this category to your local food pantry or shelter. It’s an expense many women cannot afford. Thank you!

^^this is true. We were on food stamps for about 8 months and they do NOT cover anything basic like toilet paper, deodorant, diapers, wipes or feminine products. It’s so silly. People can easily use them for crap food like junk candy, soda and anything else you can buy at a grocery store (and we heard even Papa Murphy’s pizza takes them???), yet the very basics that are needed so badly that i mentioned above (well, maybe not so much the deodorant) are not accounted for at all. It’s sad and was very stressful for us during that time my husband was out of a job. A waste of government money to those who abuse it and it’s trying to “help”.

Lol, no one will read this anyway! My sad story is 2 Christmases ago, my 8-year-old son had strep throat (I was sure) and was vomiting and a high fever. I knew I had to take him to the Dr., but I truly didn’t even have the $3 copay (yes, $3) in any kind of money—not even pennies. I then realized I had 3 gold dollar coins that I had been saving for a few months for Christmas presents for my 3 boys–I knew they would love that GOLD coin. In sadness and true desperation, I took them and used them for the copay. I’m so grateful for the government assistance we received during that horrible time, both medically (CHIP) and physically (food)—I still cannot believe the ropes and red tape you have to go through to get on that and stay on it for an extended period of time. It’s so sad that folks abuse it. My nephew is not marrying a girl till AFTER she has their baby, because otherwise they’d have to pay for the medical bills. I’m embarrassed by that for them. But I also see from their side that when you don’t have much (or ANYTHING), you either count it as a blessing or take advantage of it. Just had to vent, since I can’t post it on Facebook (no one knows we were so incredibly needy for that time!) It’s still hard to pay for diapers, and hoping we can get through the next 3 weeks on the 2 Walmart packs I have till payday. 🙂

          Dawn,

I’m sorry for what you had to go through. I understand your hardship. It’s hard making sacrifices. I hope things turn away in the new year. God bless you and your family

        • Dianne

I read it Dawn and am touched. You are making it work and are grateful, that’s what’s important, what you do with it.

If you have a Rite-Aid, I saw a deal posted for Huggies. You buy 4 bags for $31.96, use $2/1 – four of those – and then get $10 UP rewards. 🙂

Its great for ppl that really need it (Iike you did) but there are sooo many that take advantage of it. I don’t think my hard earned tax dollars should go towards providing for ppl that come through the grocery store lines w/manicured nails and an Iphone in their hands. Or a couple comes through and they each whip out their benefit card to pay for a transaction b/c they “aren’t married” and fall through the loophole. While its true there is a ton of crap that is allowed (candy and soda for example) I don’t think tax payers should be responsible for any sort of toiletries too. We wonder why our gov’t is BILLIONS of dollars in debt to foreign nations? We can’t keep taking from the system and expect it to magically reappear.

      • Dawn

Wow! I didn’t expect anyone to see this really or even comment! 🙂 we all have our times of trial, right? may we all get through them and be better people for them!

    Perfect timing. Thanks 🙂

Dawn, sorry you had to go through that. We went through that too for a while. It was so bad that I had to call Krogers and ask the manager for a bottle of shampoo so the kids could take a bath for school. He gave us 5 bottles. I guess he was shocked that I was so desperate. I’m not ashamed to ask for help, but I know alot of people are…it’s pride. Thank God for coupons! and sites like this! Couponing got us through that struggle. Now, not only do we have enough for us, but we also are constantly giving away food and nonfood. God bless you for sharing!
