Great deal! I have love all the products from e.l.f. I have tried!! Can’t beat the price either 🙂 I LOVE watching beauty vlogs on youtube and many try and review their products and pretty much everyone loves it! And while it isn’t in this set, the lip exfoliator is one of my favorites!
what is a lip exfoliator
It’s like a sugar scrub for your lips. I use it everyday and so far (knock on wood) I’ve had no problems with the usual chapped lips this winter. 🙂 It’s out of stock online but I have gotten it from Target. https://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/lips/lip_balm/lip_exfoliator
FOUND IT. Pretty cool.
Gently exfoliate lips to remove dry, chapped skin with our Lip Exfoliator! A sweet sugar and smoothing sensation, infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oils to nourish and protect. This Lip Exfoliator treats and smoothes lips for a conditioned and revitalized feel.

IMHO, elf make up is terrible in terms of quality. It was careless of me to order a bunch of stuff last time: the nail polish was cheap, colorless and watery. The lip gloss was sticky, had a weird smell and texture. The lip balm was probably the only usable thing from what I ordered. Never again. So, if you never tried their stuff before, make sure to try one or two products first before spending too much on the stuff that will be thrown away.
Elf is really hit or miss. Sometimes I read the reviews and think they never tried anything nice. I do love the mineral pressed blushes, makeup remover wipes, large brush holder, prism eyeshadows, lip exfoliater, hd setting powders, large powder brush, kabuki brush and “c” eye brush. Lots of there stuff is $1, so you really can’t expect much.
I think you bought some of the “misses”. Their nail polishes really are ick. But their studio brushes are really good for their price plus the blush/bronzer duo and some blushes from the studio line are awesome.
You most definitely have to read some reviews or watch YouTube videos that cover the “best” or “favorite” elf products. Really only about 30% of the products are even worth buying and these reviews help navigate the murky waters. 🙂

Good Luck.
I second Emily’s videos on YouTube! She has the best reviews 🙂
If you haven’t tried their prism eyeshadow pallet, I recommend it! It is absolutely amazing! And their baked blushes work so good as a highlight!
I bought one of their brush sets on clearance at Target after Christmas and I LOVE them-especially for the price. I have had little to no shedding. the powder brush distributes even and the angled blush brush makes applying blush so easy, without over doing it. I have had more expensive brushes that have shed excessively and just make a big mess out of my make up. I highly recommend their brushes.
The makeup is usually a miss for me. I can’t find the right skin colors (difficult regardless of brand for me). Quality of eye makeup was what I would expect for a buck. I like the fake eyelashes and the brushes alot, though.
Definitely hit or miss but this set looks pretty good. Brushes tend to be great for the price. Eyeshadows in neutrals & concealers have all been a “hit” for me. Nail polishes have been a miss as well as lip glosses.
I just love the Elf Studio line brushes. I own most of them and from my personal opinion I think for the price they are really great. They pick up a lot of product and are dense, washed them several times and no shedding. I owe other high end brushes and some of the elf ones like the Kabuki and C eye brush are better than more pricey ones. With that being said I’m going to skip on this great deal since I already owe most of the things in the set.
Terrible quality!
