      LOL, the same thing for Lake County. I clicked for pick up at the Mundelein location, by the time I put everything through, the site kicked me back saying my cart was empty.

    Wholly TP batman! Glad I saw this when I did. Poor guys at my Target in Austin. They were buried in TP and had some people come and then their order was cancelled, who were not happy. THANK YOU COLLIN!

    Somebody at my store ordered the entire pallet. I know that it’s “their right” to do that and I am really hoping that either a. they really need toilet paper or b. they are planning on sharing it, but if I find it on one of our local yard sale websites they may get a not so nice note from me. I may be old fashioned but that’s rude and a little selfish!

      Oh my ! Life isn’t fair and you really don’t get a medal just for showing up. I am sick of people that think they are owed something – get over yourself. And I am pleased someone was able to score such a wonderful deal – who knows maybe they are purchasing it for charity but little Ms Heather S thinks she should have gotten some regardless of how far back in line she happened to be and she’s calling people rude and selfish – PUL LEESE

        Hmmm…bad day?! If you would read my comment you’d see that I also said I was hoping they would “share” it! I did catch it a little late. You win some, you lose some. Not a big deal since it was a friend who alerted me to it anyway. I don’t feel I was owed anything…and nothing from my comment suggested that. I was stating something…and I believe it would be wrong for someone to re-sell this; especially since the repeat offenders in our area do it at a higher price than they received the deal. So….thanks for ruining my one comment on a hip post….the only one I’ve ever posted. Wow.

        Wow Gloria! Talk about rude! When you see people buying several flat beds, it does make me wonder who really needs that much TP! I am hoping they will donate it and keep some for themselves. But as Heather mentioned, It will, most likely, be on our local yard sale page with a sale price over $10 and that does bother me when others clear a store to resell. My opinion.

          If a person is not willing to give one to another shopper in line so they can purchase one for their family you better realize they are not charitable, caring or the other reasons they like to use. If people can not be kind or charitable to someone standing in front if them I know they don’t treat people they have never seen any better.

    I got an email saying my order was unavailable. I called the 1-800 and they apologized and gave me a $5 e-gift card. Worth trying if anyone is interested.

    I placed my order, got an order confirmation, and then an email to change the delivery method stating the quantity available at the store was not adequate to fill my order and that I needed to change my delivery method. I attempted to change the delivery method to ship but the system didn’t allow it. I spoke to a customer service rep that stated they couldn’t ship it as they don’t carry it in inventory… Now, 2 hours later the same item is available at $15.99 and it appears they have stock at the stores and are able to ship it.

    Some people would say this is an illegal ‘bait and switch’ scam. Seems odd they didn’t have stock and couldn’t ship it at $5.98 but 2 hours later they have it in stock and they can ship it… Shame on Target !

      Kind of like what happened earlier this week with the market place fruit snacks. My store said sold out. A while late, back in stock with a price cut of 50 cents. What happened to the sale?
      Don’t get me wrong, I like target. But lately these sorts of “deals” are happening way too often

      well I didn’t see it online again. The only 36 double rolls it has is ‘soft’ tissue not the ‘strong’ one.

      Pricing error I hope whoever forgot to add the 1 at the beginning still has their job. It is a clearance item and dropped in price today? So it is very likely they do not carry it anymore in warehouse once sold out that is it. The one online now is different. Your store could have oversold before the system could update and instead of canceling like others here they did the next best thing which was really not that helpful lol.

    They cancelled my order AFTER I got confirmation it was ready for pick up!?!?! What the heck?!? Why?!?!?!

      They did that to me too. I called customer service and spoke with a supervisor. They couldn’t honor the price for the red package but had me re-order in the blue package, priced at $15.99 and gave me a $10 refund per package (I ordered 3). I was happy with that.

    Pricing error my store has on clearance for exactly $10 less. Great reason to cancel orders but glad they didn’t. I scored two and when I picked up several people were picking up in multiples of 10. They must of had alot in stock originally!! Probably why ours did not cancel they needed space.

    yes i was able to get my 5. would of loved more cause i go to restroom more then most normal people. lol but i am excited with what i got and i am glad to whoever else was able to score a great deal. my store told me it was a glitch and it was suppose to be $15.98. so thank you for the awesome deal

    Whoa! This is getting INTENSE. MY target put 4 on hold for me & naturally, i got my charmin coupons b4 heading to target. Well the manager at customerservice at first tried to sell them to me for the price on the clearance tags on the packages which is 15 dollars and some change! I said wait a minute those are supposed to be 598 so I looked online and of course now the product isn’t even on the target website, it says product no longer available. manager kept claiming that he never saw any ads for 598 when he’s the one that put them on hold for me and other people have been calling about it, and thank goodness a cashier that actually have great customer service skills unlike that manager said that customer brought in an ad earlier that showed them for 598 and he honored the price. The manager kept saying I don’t know I just don’t feel comfortable giving them to you for that price. I kept saying what does your comfort level have to do with this? It’s a matter of you honoring your pricing& policies. Just because it’s a great deal and that makes you uncomfortable does not give you the right to make your own policy. After calling another manager over they decided that they would honor the price since obviously I wasn’t making it up or pulling some kind of scam. They acted like they were doing me some big favor, but really I thought they were just doing what was right. But then all hell broke loose when I also wanted to use a coupon on top of that! He started in with the I don’t feel comfortable stuff again which infuriated me. They called the other manager over who admitted that there is no policy against using a coupon on a clearance item, but that they weren’t going to allow my coupon for this transaction. I’m fairly certain it wasn’t even a clearance sale, but since there was no point in arguing with the jerks, I told them i guess there’s nothing I can do about that except take it up with their corporate office which I will absolutely do before the night is over. There’s just not much more in this world that I hate more than cashiers or managers who act like the savings I’m getting is coming straight out of their pocket! Grrrr

        BUY in store. It is clearanced for $15.98! I totally understand why they said that you should have bought online then added the coupons in store or printed the online page before going in. I completely understand why they were uncomfortable they had no proof of a $40 price change at all. It as a online price error to begin with they missed the 1 target lost tens thousands of dollars today and someone probably lost a job for the error. I do not know why you are mad its like couponing 101 print out something that could be a deal breaker.

          Nobody said that the price is only good online, not even targets customer service. So why on earth would I have printed out the ad? I had no idea it was an online price, nor a pricing error. That’s more like pricing error deals 101.

        Unfortunately it wouldnt allow me to add item to my cart online (target had apparently already caught their pricing error & thats y it showed in stock but it wouldnt allow me to put it in my cart online.) called 800# & they just said it had to be purchased in store & suggested calling & asking them to hold the item (&said theyd hold up to 24hrs.) failed to mention the price would triple at any moment cuz it was an error! So thats y i felt they were obligated to give me the price because I did exactly what customerservice suggested in order to get the item as it was advertised on their website at the time I called. I’m almost certain they were aware at that point that it was a pricing error but instead of disclosing that, they sent me on a wild goose chase – having to call multiple locations, be on hold for several minutes at a time, wait for them to go check the stock, and ask them to put it on hold, and then of course having to drive to the only location that had them. and was the items on hold that customer service when I got there like they had told me? Of course not! I had to wait for them to call somebody on the walkie talkie and then bring it up to the front…then had to deal with the managers acting like they were perfectly aware of the error, but at the same time trying to tell me if i didnt have an ad with the price they wouldnt honor it. Yeah dude – its apparently been removed from the website now (as if he didnt know that!) I wasn’t having that b.s. I just kept telling him it was on their website less than 2 hrs ago at that price when your customer service dept instructed me to simply call my local store and have them put it on hold to get the item I was looking at at the price listed. I went thru all that & used the little gas i have to get here & now u act like I must just be delusional? Dont think so mister manager!

    I saw the posted deal after 5:00 p.m. Went online and could not add to cart even though there was availability in the store. Called store and was told the item was clearance at $15.78. Then called the online CS and was told price was $5.98. Called store again and spoke to Manager who said they would honor the price. Went in and picked up 4 packages for my family of 5. Feeling mighty blessed right now as we put out the last roll from our stock pile today. Whoohoo!! Thank you Colin and the whole Hip Community.

      If they sent you a your order is ready email and then claim not to have it, I would request they substitute the extra soft for the sale price. They had a giant pile of those in my store. They are the exact same price on sale. ($15.98 ). They were stacked next to each other with same bonus packaging. 😉

    This is why I dislike Target
    No confirmation email after over 12 hours
    Called the store this morning and was told the order was cancelled because it was a pricing error
    No apology
    So much for honoring a pricing error
    Poor customer service

    Turns out this deal was a mistake by target.com which is why they cancelled or “recalled” my order. I called the store I ordered it from and the manager on duty said that if I show them my original order, they will honor the price. Thank goodness. I was on the phone this morning for an hour waiting for an answer with customer service. It can be exhausting to get a good deal!
