I hit up Walgreens today to score a few boxes of the Nice! brand Zipper Bags (which are on sale for $0.99 with in ad coupon). When I arrived, I thought it’d be fun to come up with a NO coupons needed scenario for you all! You can still save quite a bit of money at stores like Walgreens, even when using NO manufacturer’s coupons. AND I know it’s not always easy to get those coupons clipped and printed (especially when you are dealing with a crazy busy week!). SO… with that being said, check out this scenario I scored WITHOUT my beloved coupon binder! 😉

Transaction #1:

Buy Gluten Cutter 30 ct. $10 = $10 RR
Buy Bai 5 Drink 18 oz $1.49 = $1.49 RR
Pay $11.49 (+ tax)
Get back $1.49 Register Reward AND $10 Register Reward

Transaction #2:

Buy 3 Nice! Fold & Close Sandwich Bags 150 pack or Reclosable 50 pack or Freezer or Storage Bags 15 to 25 pack $0.99 with in ad coupon
Buy 2 bags of Nice! Jelly Beans 9 oz 2/$1 with in ad coupon
Buy 2 Brach’s or Trolli Easter Jelly Beans or Eggs 11 to 16 oz 2/$3
Buy 2 Oberto or Sweet Baby Rays Beef Jerky bags, 3.25 oz $2.99 each
Use the $1/2 Brach’s or Trolli Easter Jelly Beans or Eggs 11 to 16 oz Walgreens coupon found in the March Savings Booklet (this booklet is found in the front of the store by the weekly ad AND is FREE to take!)
Total = $11.95
THEN use both Register Rewards earned from first transaction (which = $11.49)
Pay just $0.46 (+ tax)

AND the grand total for both transactions – ONLY $11.95 (+ tax)

I think that’s a pretty SWEET deal! 😀

Hahahaha… Oh if people only knew the things they eat and don’t even know it… Bugs in flour, bugs in canned tomatoes and ketchup. SO many treasures! 🍕🍔🍟

    • kelsey

The heart is one of the best parts. Most all the other jerky brands include the heart, too. Thanks for sharing.

can someone tell me how the Nice storage/ zipper/freezer bags hold up when compared to ziploc brand?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I use them all of the time and personally think the quality is great!

      • sm

Thanks Collin……I appreciate all that you do to save us some money!

    • Lesa

I have used the Nice ziplock bags and have had no problems with them. I definitely would buy them again. Hope that helps.

      • sm

        thanks……I will try them

    • Bebe

Not good. I bought some the last time they were on sale. They smell too plasticky and make your food taste weird…Just my opinion. Ziploc brand is better.

  3. Maile

Ugggh! I was at Walgreens earlier today. With this snow expected tonight, I may not be able to go til Friday 😩. The agony of waiting to score this awesome no coupon deal. I did score good though. My local Walgreens had 9.9 M&M bags for $1.99, I didn’t have coupons but still thought it was a good deal and a 8oz Brach’s greek yogurt covered granola in Strawberry flavor on clearance for 89cents from almost $4. Definitely a great snack. The supplement section also had a decent clearance going on. I spotted some Ensure packs for under $1 too but all gone at my local store. Can’t wait to go again for these deals. Thanks Collin!

No Love on the Sweet Baby Rays Here, so I got a rain check. But I did score this

    2 Windex @ $3 each = $6
6 small bags Star Burst Jelly Bean @$0.50 each = $3.00
    1 BAI = $1.50
    + Tax

    Used a previous $2 Rewards Tag = -2.00
    2 x $2 off Windex = -4.00
    2 x $2 off star Burst Jelly Bean = -$4.00

    Paid ~1.00
Plus $2.00 Reward Q for Windex
Plus $1.50 Reward Q for BAI

    • Yoli

Hi Jan. Check out 51 has a $1.00 cash back offer on Windex. Submit for that, for better savings 😉

Is there a limit on how many times you can do this deal at Walgreens?

I tried to do this today and still had to end up paying for the second transaction, because the rewards dont come in for 48 hours? at least thats what I was told…

    • Shel

The Register Rewards print at the register and the cashier should give them to you along with your receipt. Sounds like there was some miscommunication…maybe a new employee or something? I’ve never heard of anything (even the Balance Rewards points taking 48 hours.) Good Luck 🙂

    • Jan

The $10 Register Reward and the $1.49 Register Reward should have printed at the register immediately after your first transaction and should have been availble for immediate use.

Balance Rewards may not be available for 48 hrs? I am not sure, but this was not a Balance Rewards transaction.

Did you receive the printed out Register Rewards?

      • aliza

No I didn’t receive them, do think there’s a way I can go back and claim them? Thanks for answering my comment!

I’m a newbie and was lucky to encounter a sweet cashier who was able to help me with this awesome deal. At my Walgreens, I was told only 10RR per transactions and she also printed out the RR points and handed them to me. Lol. Plus she said I did my math right. Shout out to Hip2save for doing the math for me 🙂
