   I own dozens of pieces of Vera but with the announcement this week that they are fully closing the plant in New Haven Indiana in favor of cheap Chinese manufacturing, I won’t buy anymore. They should be ashamed of themselves. BUY AMERICAN! I know its not always optional but in this case it REALLY is.

  i agree 100%. i am from indiana and that will really hurt the local economy. not to mention every woman i know has at least one of their bags, usually many. now everyone seems upset enough to no longer buy their products since they are putting hoosier workers out on the behinds.

  I love Vera Bradley too, but I have also purchased many items from Stephanie Dawn. Their plant is in Van Wert, Ohio, and I believe this location was a former Vera Bradley plant, before they moved their manufacturing to China.

  Stephanie Dawn is EXCLUSIVELY MADE IN THE USA

  I personal have friends that worked there with their mom I knew things were getting bad when they kept firing people to hire more non english speaking workers. I thought the reason why vera carried such a premium price tag was because it was made by americans! My 13 year old loves the stuff and going to the big outlet sale but i don’t think i will be buying it anymore…. This is what happens when u let a man take over as ceo… Sometimes people are worth more than money!!!!!

  Thanks for letting me know. I’m not the biggest Vera fan but now that I know this I won’t buy anything from them. You know they aren’t paying those workers overseas a fair wage and I refuse to support that.
