      Have fun! 🙂

I know the age requirement says, 5 and up. Do any of you, who have attended these workshops before, think a 4 yr old could participate? TIA.

    • Shoppertoo

I’ve attended the Lowe’s one with my two year old. For that one…there is no formal instruction, its a kit that you assist your child with. Obviously my two year old didn’t do a lot, but he did “help” and enjoyed the truck we made that day. I’m sure your four year old will be fine.

    • Noelle

Yes, as long as you partucipate with your child, I think a 4yr old would be fine. We went to our first DIY kids workshop last weekend. There were younger kids there. My kids (7 & 5) loved it.

    • Cammie

Noelle and Shoppertoo. Thank you both for your comments.

Do you guys know when Lowe’s opens registration? I used to be able to get in everytime since it was like a Monday after the workshop but now I couldn’t, even with Collin’s reminder. Our location gets full really quick.

Can anybody tell me ,Even the Lowe’s workshop is for 5-12 years? I have a 3year old ..

    • Andrea

I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old. I take both of them and they love it. I do most of the work for my 1 year old but she loves to make noise with the hammer.

  5. Amy

I took my 3-yr old twins…. the grown ups did most of the work, but they still really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one.

  6. Laura Mason

I have four boys doing this

  7. Lori

Ironing on last month’s Build and Grow patches right now. My boys are excited about going again tomorrow!

I have already signed up my son a few weeks ago, and I hadn’t planned on taking another child but his friend is spending the night last minute and now my store is showing as full.. Does anyone know if they stock extras? I hate to take one child and then the other not be able to get one..

    • Lori

Last time my store did turn some kids away who weren’t registered, telling them to check back at 10:15. At that time no-show kits would be given away to those not registered.

At our store in Albemarle, NC, they have leftover kits from previous build and grows that they’ll give out if someone has an unexpected guest and sometimes they even order a few extra kits- like if there are 50 spaces, they’ll order 55 kits. Maybe your store will do the same. Doesn’t hurt to ask!

    • Jessica

Thank you, I am going to try! We live in Lexington NC so hopefully our store is like yours! 🙂
