Happy Friday: Easter Clearance = Summer Fun
Sent from reader, Becky:
While at Walmart, I found these leftover Easter baskets full of fun kids’ items. (They were marked 75% off, but rang up 90% off–Score!) For this summer, I plan to make a tub of “fun” items that my children can earn. Each time they do something kind or peaceful or helpful, they earn a bean (uncooked ๐ ). Once they have 50 beans, they can choose from the Fun Tub. For just over $6 total, these baskets provide several items for the Fun Tub. Hooray for clearance and stocking up! It’s so HIP!
HAPPY FRIDAY! ๐

Yeah, I like to take the Cary out and hide the baskets for the next year ๐ then slide some fresh candy in when it is ready for gifting. ๐
Love this idea! Sounds like your kids will busy doing great things this summer. Such a cute idea ๐
I bought just the empty baskets for 49 and 59 cents each. most aren’t Easter themed .. I was going to use them for arts and crafts stuff for my daughter and gift baskets. Awesome deal.
Great idea!
Great items to send to school ๐
What a great idea. I will have to keep this in mind for when my tiny one gets older. Thanks, this new mama is always looking for ideas and advice.
Okay. I have to comment on the quality of those Easter baskets! I never would have guessed they came from Walmart! Bravo!
Awesome idea:)
My Walmart had cupcake shaped eggs filled with candy. I’m planning on having a cupcake hunt for my grandaughter’s birthday.
These would be great taken apart and used in Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes!
Great idea until your kids figure out to get more beans from friends. Keep track lol
Awesome score!!!
Great idea!!!!!
We do the bean jar during lent.. Except the beans turn into a treat on Easter Sunday. The kids really liked it! Great idea to keep it going all year long!
I got over 177.00 worth of easter items for 17.00 plus tax to be able to save for other days. my grandkids are out of state. so I save and then put in a box they get once a month. its like christmas to them . and the neighbor kids get something also when they help us do things. take out our garbage, pick up trash .help fold laundry. they love coming over and of course their jar filled with lollipops. and out of all of that only 4.00 was candy. walgreens and walmart in clewiston,fl.
