Today’s Freebie Friday deal over at SavingStar.com is for 100% back when you buy one 26 oz container of Morton Table Salt – valid through 4/26 only. Just hop on over there and sign-in to your account to add the offer to your account.

* Note that after you purchase the salt, the 100% cash back will be deposited into your SavingStar account within 2-22 days depending on the store where you made your purchase; you will also receive an email when the savings post to your account. And remember, once you get $5 in your SavingStar account, you can transfer the savings to your bank or PayPal.

And don’t forget about these upcoming changes to SavingStar. Starting in May, the day and frequency of the 100% cash-back Freebie offers will change —> instead of appearing every Friday, the freebies can appear at any time and on any day. If you want to be first to know when the Freebies are coming, you’ll want to earn the new SavingStar Premier Saver status which will give you advance notice of Freebies before they go live and before the limited quantities are gone. In order to achieve and maintain Premier Saver status, you’ll need to redeem 6 qualifying offers each calendar month (qualifying offers do not include Healthy Offer of the Week or Freebies). So if you want to have Premier Saver status in May, you’ll need to redeem 6 or more qualifying offers by April 30th.[/h2s_box]

This and the table salt are my least favorite FREEBIE offers.
I hope some new freebies include Nestle candy bars, go cups of crackers or cookies.

  2. Ohiogirl

These staple items are my favorite freebies! I’d rather see more of them and less candy – lol. Good thing they offer both 😉

    • emma

Exactly my thoughts. Love these everyday staples than candy bars, 🙂

    • Migdalia

I also rather have staples like this than candy

  3. Bobbie

I was just hoping this would be a freebie again soon! Thank you SavingStar!

After hearing the sad news that savingstar is changing the program – I for one am just happy to snag a freebie offer. I will not be in the “elite” 6 a month club, so I’m hoping to get to $5 – cash out and be done with this program

Do you know when this change is going to happen? So you have to redeem at least 6 offers a month to earn?

      • savingstar

Hi Carla, Starting in May, freebies will occur randomly, not regularly on Fridays. Members who redeem 6 offers in a month will receive advance notification of when the freebies will appear the next month. Thanks, Josh

Does anyone else have problems submitting receipts with this app. Majority of my submitted receipts get denied even though they look just fine to me. I never have this issue with Checkout51 or Ibotta. Any suggestions?

    • Laura

Same here. I try shop at stores that have my loyalty card linked. No need to upload receipts.

    • savingstar

Hi Asia, I’m sorry to hear you had an issue with the receipts. The most common reasons for a receipt to be denied are if we did not receive the UPCs for all the items purchased, or if we did not receive clear images of the entire receipt from top to bottom. You can resubmit a receipt or click the Contact Us link on our website if you have a specific question about your account and we’ll help you out. Thanks, Josh from SavingStar

It doesn’t say you sti can’t get the 100% free offers if you do t get the super saving status, they just get notifications. I like the pantry staple freebies:)

    • Laura

Yes, notifications to limited offers. I guess I’ll wait and see. But I have a feeling those within their special club will have first pick of these limited offers. So those of us normal users won’t get a fair shake before these offers disappear. Stinks

Anyone knows the price of this at Walgreens? Thanks!

    • Sarah

I got one at wags for $1.19, but it is not scanning. Help, please!

      • savingstar

Hi Sarah, Please make sure you have good lighting and are connected to the internet when scanning. Also, please make sure it is the correct product: 26 oz. container of Morton® Plain or Iodized Table Salt (not Sea Salt). If you still have trouble, you can submit through the website as well. Thanks, Josh

      • An

Mine is $1.29. It scanned w/o problem.
