Thank you! But be aware that this cupons are coded wrong and beep and even if you get the nail polish that are 4.99 some cvs are choosing not to take them at all! This customer had 2 at 4.99 and some clearance and manager said no to her ! When I see posting on a cupon that customers are having issues ! I choose to skip the deals ! Thank you very much

My newspaper mfs beeped yesterday =(

Def need a backbone if you want to use these coupons! I was lucky when I used my $1.50 inserts & IP’s last wk, the manager knows me so put them through (the cashier was rather rude until he walked up). I know others are not so lucky. I emailed Sally Hansen b/c it’s embarrassing to have a coupon beep when you’re purchasing the correct items and being told the coupon is fake. Like I have time to make coupons!

        • sara

Thanks. Sometimes I just let it go, especially when the mgr doesn’t know their coupon policy & sides with the cashier. I just don’t like the hassle.

      • sara

Mine, too. I ended up not buying anything.

    • Jane Matthews

      Thanks for the heads up!

If you want to avoid the hassle and need mascara, here is a deal. I used my $5 cosmetics coupon when I bought 2 Loreal Manga mascaras, used 2 $2 and got 3EB back. At the end I paid $8.29+$8.29=16.58-$4=12.58-$5=$7.58-5EB=$2.58 for both mascaras, coupons did not beep.

        • Coby

where to get that $5 cosmetics coupon?

          • mel

It is printing when you scan your extracare card at the kiosk. But you must be an existing extracare member as of 5/17. (if you sign up today, you won’t get the coupon)

Yeah, I tried to do this deal today and all the coupons beeped. The cashier even rung up a polish at $9.99 (the one pictured on the coupon) and it still beeped. It was such a mess. I left without the polishes. bummer.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I will pass on this deal since the coupon is a beeper. I know the cashiers pretty well, but it still sounds like a headache!

  4. amber

Yup! No fun to have a coupon that is supposed to be good for a product you are purchasing beep. Not worth the agony. 🙁

The cashier at the CVS I shop at told me that finger nail polish is not considered cosmetics and wouldn’t accept the $5 off any cosmetics purchase of $15 or more coupon. She did try but it wouldn’t go through. Has anybody else been told that about the $5 off $15?

    • Heather C

Of course it is- that’s why it counts towards the $50. Ignorant employees frustrate me!

    • sara

Thanks. I haven’t tried. Are you saying that she scanned the $5/15 but it didn’t go through?

      • Lauri

Yes, She tried scanning it but it wouldn’t go through. The nail polish was the only “cosmetic” products I was purchasing. She told me it wouldn’t go through because nail polish is not considered a cosmetic.

        • sara

Thanks, Lauri. And sorry about how your transaction went.

    • Marissa

A cashier has told me this also however I nicely pointed out that on the cvs ad it states spend $15 get $5 when you buy any sally hansen cosmetics and there is a picture if the nail polish on the front page. She scanned the $5 off $15 and it went through just fine.

  6. kelly

i am looking right at my cvs flyer. Top left lists the Sally Hansen polishes and it says spend $15 get $5 extra bucks. Right on the square. Take the flyer and argue the point

    • Lauri

I wish I would of seen that. I’m sure she would of honored it.

    • Gail

Yeah it clearly says Sally Hansen COSMETICS in the ad! I am going in tomorrow and will show them! Thank you for pointing this out!

The two new 1.50 off treatments worked fine, but the newspaper 1.50 off 3.19 beeped. Cashier insists is because coupon says you can only use 1 per transaction.., AFTER SHE JUST SCANNED TWO IDENTICALS.,, wouldn’t let me use other two coupons.
This is at one of my reg cvs, but i RARELY see this cashier.
My advice- get the two mascaras with your 5 off 15. Then roll that 5 ecb into sally.

  8. Judy Trac

    Hard to find stock

  9. Lori

Just to confirm for anyone who has yet to try this deal. . . The new $1.50 MQ from coupons.com are working fine at the register. I did a transaction that included three different nail treatments and no beeps at all! The cashier told me right away that the $5 off $15 cosmetics coupon would not work on the nail treatments because they were not considered cosmetics, but she was willing to scan it. And surprise, surprise (lol), the machine accepted it too, no beeps! Just wanted to put my experience out there because most of the comments above were really discouraging me from trying this deal. So glad I gave it a shot!

  10. Faith Burkins

I did this deal, and had a cashier (who was also a manager) tell me that the $1.50 Sally polish insert coupons were beeping because they stated to only use one per transaction. He was willing to put them through anyway, so I didn’t bother to argue that no, what it actually states is “limit one coupon per purchase,” meaning one coupon per item!
