Happy Friday: Diaper Stash from 1997
Sent from reader, Amanda:
I just wanted to let you know that you have been a godsend to our family! You have made it possible for me to stay home with my son while my husband is in school. Thank you so much for all the deals you post! We recently cleaned out another couponer friend’s house and it was a reminder to me to not over stockpile.
This was one of the things we found and I had to laugh because my son is 3 and I have yet to buy any more wipes! The package says 1997!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY! 😀

🙂 So cute. I remember collecting the points from the actual packages when my son (a teen now) was a baby. When I redeemed the points, the envelope was to fat…lol, but he loved the prize. It was a power wheel. Things really changed.
W-O-W! That reminds me of one of my all time favorite coupons – back in 2006-ish…a $2/1 Huggies Wipes manufacturers coupon which made for free wipes almost everywhere.
Wow that’s what Huggies packaging looked like in ’97! It looks more like something from the eighties. I’m surprised how tacky stuff was in the late 90’s.
Hope they know that these sell well on Ebay
I was just coming to comment that – you could get a lot for them on Ebay and use the money to buy lots of wipes and still have some left!
(C) 1997 and 2000. 🙂 But still 15 years old!
Wow they are so expired lol
Ok this may be a dumb question but do diapers expire?
They do break down. I tried to save a premie diaper from my first baby. Didn’t last three years in a cool dry place.
We had left over diapers after baby 1…it took us longer than expected to get baby 2…4 years later they were perfect and held poop and pee with no issues!
I wonder if they opened them to find out what condition the wipes were in after being around since the year 2000…either completely dry or a science experiment!
Some wipes get stinky, and others just dry out and look like a paper towel or wash cloth, after a few years, based on what I’ve opened.
Not sure about wipes THAT old (!), but ordinarily wipes rehydrate just fine with a splash of clean water in the dispenser.
Just an FYI, it’s not 1997 as it also says 2000 as something re trademark.
I just scrolled down the post and saw that too.
Instead of focusing on the details, just laugh… it’s funny either way 😉
I kept 2 boxes of pampers in my garage in south Texas for about 3-4 years. Ended up giving them to a friend and she said they worked fine!
