I can’t wait! Hopefully I will be able to knock out some back to school and Christmas shopping. I will definitely be getting that firestick! Thanks Colin for keeping us informed!

    • Kimberly

Me too!!!! Looking for backpacks, school folders, etc!

  2. Bambing

Not a good sign for my budget that I am so looking forward to this. On the other hand, I was going to buy a Chromebook for my kid anyway so might as well save money on it, 🙂

  3. Jenn

    Love those wipes!!

    • Renee

Me too! Know if we can combine the 60% off with subscribe & save?

      • jenn

Not sure, but it would be nice.

    • sophie

I am loyal to huggies. Are these wipes comparable to them? (the origianl not the simply clean ones.) I frustrate myself when I try a cheaper brand and they end up being too slippery or tear easy. Thanks

      • jenn

I think they are more cloth like and soft. Kinda like Target’s Up&Up. I like that type. At that price I would say give them a try or donate/give them away or even return if Amazon lets you if you don’t like them.

        • sophie

I think I’ll give them a try. thanks

      • Renee

I personally like them better than Huggies. I feel like Huggies tear easy and aren’t wet enough so I end up using more. Amazon elements are soft but sturdy. When the poop is stuck to the bottom I need a really wet wipe that I can get a good grip on. I have been pleased.

      • laura

I am a huggies snob and these are very comparable# I will be buying several

  4. JIll

Woo Hooo! We’ve been debating on the Fire Stick, so now it’s a go! Plus, I’ve got $20 in Amazon gift cards from I-Say surveys, so it’s going to cost us $ 4.00 ! Thanks Collin!!!!!

    • Denise G.

Love love love ours! I was so hesitant to drop cable but between the Fire stick and our Apple TV I am a happy camper.

      • Natalia Fry

What exactly is fire stick? Do u need to be subscribed to fire tv?

        • sarah

We have one and love it! You can watch shows through amazon, Netflix and lots of other options with it. No more cable!

      • JIll

OOOH! this is great to hear that you love this so much. we kind of know nothing about it, but were reading all the reviews and all that you can watch and we just thought it sounded so awesome.

    • Guest

Thanks for the article! I’m not really an Amazon shopper, so I’ll keep an eye on Target and Walmart. 🙂

  5. Menyon Garcia

    Awesome thanks

I am personally very upset that they are offering 30 day free trials for people to get in on these deals. As a prime member since the first year it was started, I think we should be given different offers and not have the site overrun by customers who are just going to get deals and then cancel accounts after 30 days.

    • Jo

      Totally agree!

    • Valerie L

      Agreed

    • Kris

Yes, that does seem a little like a slap in the face to those of us who have paid for it for years.

    • Julie

Having other people save on things doesn’t impact your savings, so why even bother with being upset?

      • K

Items are likely to go out of stock quickly, so it actually has the potential to affect someone’s savings that has been member for years vs someone who is just taking advantage of sale on a free trial. Just my opinion.

      • Cassandra

It kind of does, if the deals are like the lightning deals, where only a certain number of people can ‘claim’ them.

      • sophie

I think it’s more about things being sold out, because now, the “trial members” are getting in on all the deals. Then they will cancel. There’s not going to be enough for everyone. I agree, it should only be available to the members who were members at the time of the announcement.

    • Anna

The part doesn’t upset me because let’s face it, it’s all about the business and getting more clients. What annoys me is that it’s midweek, when most of the labor-force is at work. Not everyone has a job, where they can refresh the screen every 10 mins.

      • Laura

July 15th is actually the 20th anniversary of Amazon. That’s why it’s midweek.

    • Michelle

It’s a ploy to gain more Prime customers. So they can compete with another company that has not debuted yet (jet.com). There was an article about it on time.com. Yeah, it’s a fun birthday celebration that benefits current Prim members, but they are hoping to get a lot of suckers to sign up for, and keep their Prime accounts, prior to the launch of this competitor.

      • CouponingFools (@CouponingFools)

I hardly think people who sign up for Prime are “suckers”. It’s a terrific value, IMHO. And I doubt Amazon are concerned about “competing” with some no-name, not-yet-existing company that most people have never heard of 🙂

        • Michelle

You’re right, I should have phrased that a bit better. Prime IS a great deal, but, lets face it, they are luring people in with the hopes that they won’t cancel or will forget to. Competition or not, it’s a pretty good scheme! I don’t have it yet and would consider myself a sucker for signing up for it just for the deals tomorrow 🙂 (who knows, it may happen, hahaha!)

      • K

I have been price comparing Amazon to Jet and don’t find Jet to be that good of a deal unless you are buying multiples of the same item, they they discount it further the more you buy which I do like, but do I really need 6 bottles of something to get it at an average price?

      • J

I actually bought on Jet and they had the lowest price on the Internet for my particular item. I received a hand written note from them too.

      • K

I have jet (it is in beta) it’s horrible!! Sounds great on paper but nothing is what it promised to be. They don’t even have descriptions for items so you have to guess if your ordering the right size of an item or even the quantity one picture is of a multipack and the next (same listing) is of a singlar item. I get that it’s in beta but what is the point if you just have pictures and prices? Prices are the same or worse than amazon nothing to brag about either.

    • meg

And how do you know that people trying the 30 day free trial will just cancel it??? Smh. Bigger things in this world to be concerned with then this.

  7. Jo

I wish the fire stick was $19 like it was back in October. Really wanted one for the kids room. Might still get it.

  8. Ashley57

Glad they are doing a promo with gift cards. Wasn’t sure I would buy anything, but I will at least buy that.

  9. Mika

I really want the Fire HD but I didn’t budget for it this month so I guess I’ll have to wait until the actual Black Friday. 🙁

  10. CJ

If someone shares my prime membership will they have access to the sale as well or only the actual prime owner?

    • CJ

I also wonder if these deals will only be offered certain times of day…like a lightning deal?

      • Paty

Possibly, since the press release says there is a new sale every 10 minutes. I wonder if its worth staying up until midnight.

        • Hollie

Does it start at midnight? I didn’t see a starting time but may have overlooked it

          • CouponingFools (@CouponingFools)

Midnight Pacific time, so 3 a.m. on East Coast 🙂

    • Diane

I would think so… and hope so as I share my cousin’s membership! 🙂

  11. Colleen

We are getting a second fire stick for our bedroom and I am all over that wipes deal! Can’t wait!!!!

  12. Heather J

Baby wipes~ weren’t the baby wipes a part of the nationwide recall?

    • jenn

I don’t think these were/are anymore. They are a relatively new product Amazon made and I think they came after that.

    • K

No, they are made in America and always about a month before ordering (they tell you every detail down to where each ingredient came from) and chemical free. They are not included in the recall and probably never will be. If so it would be their own recall by themselves they don’t share a single trait as any other wipes manufacturing facilities.

  13. Anna

I don’t get it, why call it a Black Friday sale. First of all, black friday is like a holiday….it’s the Friday after Thanksgiving every year. This sale is not even on a friday. Why not call it a blowout sale or something. Seriously at least make it on a Friday, so I can get a turkey on thursday and get in the spirit!!!

    • K

Well it’s called PRIME DAY so…… not black Friday. It’s their better than black Friday sale. Which is not a holiday it’s a day historicaly retailers had sales to get from being in the red to being profitable in the black. How is corporations trying to be profitable a holiday?

      • Anna

I was joking, I know it’s not a holiday but it is a traditional day as you mentioned. If you notice a lot of companies from walmart to best buy are having a black friday in July sale this month. I’m sure they would love to invent another Christmas all in the name of profit. I don’t mind the sales, I love bargains and would love to finish my Christmas shopping before the real black friday.

hope to get american doll for my granddaughters birthday

  15. Kidsallgone

I live in the boonies and have Directv and pay about $90/mth. But the only Internet I can get (that i know of) is thru a Verizon Jetpack which I pay $100/mth for 10? 14? GB? A month. Not unlimited but I could pay a little more for unlimited. I like to watch shows like Shark Tank, Dancing With The Stars, etc. Hubby loves all movies. Can anyone tell me how the Fire Stick works, whether it would be good for us, and would it use up my Verizon Internet if the fire stick uses streaming? No clue about all of that. Thanks for any help 👍👍👍

    • CJ

I’m moving out to the boonies next week & wondering the same thing. 🙂 I’m thinking we might try giving cable up but I’m worried our internet service will be too sketchy to stream reliably. I think you’d be using your data to watch shows on the stick but I’m not sure.

      • Kidsallgone

I think so too. Read the other comments. I think I’m going to pass on the stick. Or I could pay for unlimited data for a month, buy the stick, and if it sucks, then toss it. I’ll be out a few bucks for the stick and the one mth but the only way we will know for sure is to try it. So I think I will 👏👏👏

    • Liz

Kidsallgone – Without unlimited data, you will NOT want to stream TV or movies from anywhere (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant, etc.). On average, watching movies or TV shows uses about 1 GB of data PER HOUR for standard definition video, and up to 3 GB per hour for each stream of HD video. One HD movie could potentially blow through half (or more) your monthly allotment of data. Any internet service that restricts your data usage is not conducive to streaming TV or movies. If you want to stream, you need unlimited data – I’d suggest asking neighbors what they have for internet. There might be broadband or DSL available in your area. Or call DirecTV and ask them for recommendations on internet service in your area. Good luck!

      • Kidsallgone

Hey Liz! Thanks soooo much for your reply!! My 4 other neighbors have the same Internet issue as I do. The one thing I worry about is if I go to “unlimited,” then would it stall or need to “buffer” or whatever in the middle of a show because the Internet service is slow to start with lol! Thanks again for taking the time to reply ❤❤❤

        • Liz

You’re welcome =) If your JetPack is slow/unreliable already, I would not suggest “cutting the cord” and moving to unlimited data, just so that you can stream TV and movies. Stick with DirecTV and research broadband or DSL providers in your area, for now. =)

          • Kidsallgone

            👍👍👍

    • Amanda

Yes this will use up your Verizon Internet data with streaming, it will eat it up very quickly! We don’t have cable, but pay 50 a month for very fast Internet speed through Comcast, then just use Hulu and netflix, both of which we pay 8 each a month for….and both of the shows you listed are on Hulu next day and there for months at least to watch and pause at your convenience.

    • Amanda

I would not suggest this for you if you cant get another Internet service, don’t plan on canceling cable to save money and are not signed up for Hulu, Netflix and other such accounts as you would have to be subscribed to those services to use them. You can check on Comcast website to see if they service your specific address.

      • Kidsallgone

Thanks for the reply Amanda! Hubby does subscribe to Netflix by mailing the DVDs to us and he picks his next movie, he mails the older one, and then the new one comes in the mail. We pay around $10/mth for that. Wonder if Directv has Netflix? I hate dealing with CS at Directv as well as CS at Comcast 😡😡😡

    • Stacy

I live out in the country and only have verizon 10gb per month. We quick paying 90$/month for Direct Tv several years ago. I bought an Antennacraft HDX1000 antenna and my husband installed it on the roof. And even living in the boonies, I get all the major local channels like ABC. May want to look into that. We get like 30 channels with the antenna

      • CJ

Thanks for the antenna suggestion, we may give that a try. It would be nice to have at least some dependable channels to watch. We will have unlimited broadband but I’m not sure how reliable it will be when trying to stream.

      • Kidsallgone

        Ohhhhh!!! Grrrreat info!! Thanks!!

  16. sophie

I just noticed how they are saying it’s exclusive to prime members. It’s not exclusive anymore, since everyone has probably signed up by now!!! Hope I can get the things I want. Thanks for making me feel exclusive Amazon!!!!

    • Stacy

I’m sure their first priority was not to make you feel special as a current Prime member, it was mainly getting more people to sign up for Prime.

      • Megan

LOL You have a good understanding of capitalism. 🙂 People seem to think that business actually care about them. Amazon exists to make money. That’s it.

        • Ivan

Actually I have a degree in business 🙂 I understand this is all about wanting to gain new Prime members, but they ruin the risk of alienating existing members. Case in point…look at the negative posts in here above. And IF they have minimal stock of the items, people won’t be happy.

  17. Heather

Is it going to be like lightning deals all day? Where “hot” deals sell out in a few minutes? It kind of sounds like it with how it says various deals at different times through the day…I hope not though.

  18. Laura

I hope they have deals like cookware played spoons cause I need to buy for my new apartment

  19. Ivan

I wonder if this will fail to deliver like most Black Friday sales do? Hopefully Amazon is smart enough to have large quantities on hand or else they might upset some of their better customers. Could backfire.

  20. Katie

I don’t know if this has been said already but there are a bunch of lightning deals (more than usual) listed as 2am and it’s mostly toys & games and baby gear. I imagine these are the ones that will go live at midnight and slowly you will be able to see more deals ahead of time.

    • Laura

Katie, which time zone are you in? I’m wondering if everyone is seeing 2AM or if it’s just people in the CST (like me).

  21. alisha

I would’ve love to have gotten a sneak peek into the dvds that’s being sold tomorrow 75% off.I’m going for fire stick and divergent book set. What other books are on sale?

  22. Angel

hi, if i am not primer member, I share someone’s prime, can I still get the deal from the day ?
    thanks

  23. Sherry

Question about the fire stick, I saw the ESPN is one of the apps. If I cancel cable, will I get games live?

  24. Nikole

I need more baby bottles and toner hope these are on sale!

    • Julie

Groupon had a great deal on printer toner (if that’s the kind you need!). I just ordered some at a great price and they work great!! 🙂

  25. Danette

Does anyone know if they will only be having lightning deals or will they also have deals on items all day?

  26. Morna

You can see the upcoming prime only deals up until about 7 am on the flash sale deals. I didn’t see anything worth staying up for.

    • Franfran

I’m new to Amazon prime can you tell me how you can see the items that are going to be on sale up till 7 AM?

  27. Sarah C

Considering the kids kindle…any thoughts? Our oldest has an iPad mini, we have iPads…out youngest 8yo is who I’m considering for…she LOVES to read (reading higher chapter books now)…she had a nabi but for some reason always wanted my ipad instead…would love feedback! 😉

    • Suzanne

I would suggest staying with iPads. You have to repurchase apps and such.
My daughter has a kindle fire. Played with it for a while, but always went for my iPad. She now has an iPad mini. The kindle hasn’t been touched since Christmas.
In my opinion, Apple is much more user friendly, plus they can iMessage me to my iPhone if I am not home.

  28. Happymama

Am I the only one who is going to enjoy tomorrow and not going to even get onto Amazon? The way I look at it, Collin finds the best deals, so I’m not going to stress!

  29. Lara

I was able to purchase the baby wipes using the code ELEMENTS60 tonight. Super excited….I got the 6 pack of 80 wipes for $4.40 plus tax!

  30. NettieJo

The Elements wipes code is working right now. I got a case for $5.95

  31. Jess

I was able to purchase the wipes, with a $2.50 off coupon and subscribe and save. My total was 1.93 at checkout! Awesome deal, plus we love those wipes!!

  32. Melissa G

how are people getting wipes already? I tried and it’s giving me 30% off, not 60???

  33. Mary

I just purchased the baby wipes using the elements60 code and apparently I had already clipped another coupon for $2.50 off which brought my total down to $1.90 for the six pack!!!!

  34. firegrl

How are people getting wipes already? Code won’t work at all for me?

  35. Lisha

Does anyone see the tv’s? Tia

    • susan

No I don’t see the tv deal, or any other great deals. 🙁

      • Lisha

        Thx

  36. abaughn0003

Did I miss the fire kids tablets? Thanks!
