Kinda disappointed with this year Target toy clearance sales. In the past, they had wide selections.

I basically found a few Lego sets and a few games and couple hot wheel sets. Was hoping for more age range selection.
Well, a lot more people are shopping Target clearance–and earlier, before it gets marked down significantly. Legos are pretty much gone at first discount in my area, except the weird/gimmicky ones, though I did find some hidden clearance Legos at 50 percent off at one store. Target is very popular right now, especially with bloggers. A better bet is to pay attention to other stores you shop more closely. I found another store that does July markdowns that had amazing toy deals: Cuckoo Cloud Palace Legos for $5 (orig. $20ish), various Lego movie 200ish piece sets for $3 (orig. $15ish), various Lego Friends, superhero, and Star Wars Legos 50 percent off, Magic Clip Disney Princess gift sets 50 percent off (orig. $30+), My Little Pony toys from 50 to 75 percent off. I’m betting the items at 50 percent will go lower, if any remain. I will be shopping there next July–and January, as that seems to be another popular markdown period.
