Just to make everyone aware, you can only stream Sling TV on one television at a time. Netflix and Hulu do not limit you to one television at a time. I believe Netflix is 2 for the lower price option. Just something to be aware of when you sign up.

Netflix does limit to one tv or device unless you pay more. It’s also very limited and years behind on seasons for current live tv. So this sounds like a great alternative.

We have basic (cheaper $7.99) Netflix and stream 2 devices at a time..

      • Rebecca

We have $7.99 Netflix & can use it on 3 devices at once. We do it regularly with our family of 6.
I just ordered SlingTV yesterday. I want a Roku anyway & hubby wants to try SlingTV for football season. You don’t have to do the Best Buy coupon thing. You can buy/get the discounted/free Roku devices directly from SlingTV when ordering 3 months of service. That basically comes out to being 3 months of SlingTV for $10 with purchase of Roku 3 that I was wanting to buy anyway.

Hulu also limits you to one tv at a time. If my son has it on in his room we can’t use it in the living room.

Does anyone use this service? I would love to hear some opinions of it!

  4. Rachel

You can try a 7day free trial. I’ve tried it and it’s really good! You get a few of the major channels like ESPN, AMC, DISNEY, and it’s like you’re watching regular tv, commercials and all, live.

Is there anything out there like this for watching live NFL games?? I would love to cancel cable but that is preventing myself (and many others I know).

I currently have the worst home internet service ever (Verizon 10gb a month) since these require internet I can never take advantage of these. There has to be a way for me to get back to a decent internet service! I can’t get charter they have no lines by us:/

I just cancelled my cable service today and have been exploring alternate possibilites. This may be too good of an offer to pass up. I have heard good things about Sling TV and could use the $50 towards a streaming device. I’ve done some research into the different options- Fire Stick, Chromcast, Roku. The Roku 2 seems to be a favorite. Can someone confirm that I can get Sling TV with Roku? I would also need to up my internet speed. I currenly have the lowest that TWC offers, something like 3mps. What minimun speed do you suggest? Any input would be greatly appreiciated!

Yes Roku has a Sling Tv app !

    • Angela

We have a RoKu in every room of the house that has a tv, we have Sling, Hulu and Netflix. TWC also has an app on RoKu that you can get live streaming TV. We cancelled cable about 2 months ago and havent looked back. We love it and are saving so much for not paying monthly for the cables boxes and plan. As for the internet, we have the fastest TWC offers since both my husband and I work from home and need it.

If sling would offer stations like CBS, NBC, etc. I’d be sold. For now it’s not worth it for me. Hope everyone else enjoys though. Antennas don’t work well where I live.

This deal seems good. We don’t have cable, only “over the air” antenna and Netflix/Amazon Video. I already have a ROKU 3, for Netfilx and Amazon Video. Was easy to add SlingTV to get CNN to watch the debates and ESPN for when the kids come home from college and want to watch SportsCenter. So I bought the 3-month SlingTV for $60, with the BestBuy coupon code for $50, for net cost of $10 for 3 months. Quality is good so far on wifi. will be better when I connect an ethernet directly from the router to the Roku.

I’ll use the Best Buy Coupon for an Amazon Fire Stick, so I can watch netflix etc in hotel rooms. Caution, can’t use the Best buy coupon on bestbuy.com. have to go into a store physically. Some (not all) of the BB stores in my area have Amazon Fire Sticks on the shelf. Was going to buy the Amazon Fire Stick anyway, so this deal gets me the Fire Stick for free.
