   It is expensive but it is actually ice cream with real ingredients so when we want to indulge it is what we buy. Otherwise we eat banana “ice cream” . Which is just blended frozen bananas with a little almond milk and add ons.

   I agree with paying a bit more for better quality ice cream…i never buy anything other than Ben & Jerry or Haagan Dazs. I buy only on sale and if there is none i make my own ice cream. Its so easy if you buy a cuisinart IC maker…just milk,cream & sugar…add your own flavouring& toppings and you have amazing ice cream.I would suggest anyone interested to buy/borrow frm the library ‘The Perfect Scoop’ by David Lebovitz.

  Sounds delicious and I love reading food books! Do u need a lot of freezer space for the ice cream maker?

  Not really Lin…you dont need to keep the entire IC maker…just the insert in the freezer…that too just 24 hrs before you use it.I keep mine always in the freezer because in the summer i use it very frequently.There are videos on Youtube which show the Cuisinart IC 21(thats the model i have) in action..you will get an idea about the size of the bowl.

   I love Haagan Daz Strawberry is my favorite and lately and most of time there is no strawberry available. Why can I not get strawberry?
