  1. Yes

Has anyone used these along with Magna-Tiles?

    • Jcruise

Yes. They work in the sense that the magnets connect. But the set we got were not the same size as the magna tiles so it was hard to build with them. You can tell these are cheaply made compared to the magna tiles. But still a very good deal! We have a few sets.

    • Bernadett

Yeah we have both… they are not compatible at all…

  2. Just Me

I’m going to try these. My sil has the magna tiles and even I love them!

  3. Cristen

We have Magformers and my 3-year-old LOVES them. We’ve had them for 8 months. I think they’re very well built. He slings them around and stomps on the towers he’s built. None have broken.

Thank you! My son has a birthday coming up and loves dinosaurs! He has already picked out a jurassic world cake. This dinosaur set will definitely be a big hit with him!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Idy

These are a great toy but do not connect with magnatiles. The magnets are much stronger and the shapes are smaller. All shapes have an empty middle as seen in the pics above.

  6. Rose

Are these transparent? We have a light table, so I would love to use these on it. It’s hard to tell in the photo if they’re transparent. ๐Ÿ™‚ TIA!

    • Cristen

They are not transparent. They have a hole in the middle, but the part that is colored is solid.

  7. Bri

These are on zulily right now for about half off!

  8. JMarie

So what does everyone like best? Magformers – or MagnaTiles???
    Thanks!!

  9. Em

We have the Magformers; my three and five year old both love to build with them. Have never used MagnaTiles, but the Magformers seem to be well made and durable.

I have used magformers at a friend’s house and we own magna tiles and sick n’ stack. My favorite have been the stick n’ stack because they have been the least expensive for how many you get. A 32 piece set of these is not enough for our kids. When we got the 100 piece Stick n’ Stack they were used ALL the time! We’ve since gotten another set of 50 something pieces as well with wheels, etc. I think all the magnet toys are great and while I did like all three brands above, for us the most important thing was having enough because they’ll want to add on and build more than just 1 32 piece set.
