   So, if I have AT&T, and I buy this phone, I can use it with my current #? I am clueless about these things.

  Yes you can- just put the SIM card in the new phone. I have this phone and love it.

   If I get this phone, do I have to purchase a monthly plan, or can I just use it with wifi to surf the web or play games?

  You can use it just on wifi. But I would consider getting a Kindle for that.

  @Jenni, You can certainly do that. I bought this phone last night just for Prime.
  I have a kindle, but prefer a smartphone when I am going out. Even without activation, you can use wifi at starbucks, various stores, doctor’s offices etc. where you do not want to carry the bulky phones.

   It says you have to activate to get the prime, does that mean buying a plan rather than using like a kindle? I would love it for the camera and mobility. Do i need to buy a SIM card to activate?
