No it runs on wifi only not on phone network, if you set it up on your phone service it uses whatever your data plan you currently have.
I have C-Spire with an iPhone 4S that is on its last leg. I actually have 4 iPhone 4s’s in my family and every single one of the phones has a quirky issue that can’t be fixed. I’ve spent hours online and with Apple to fix my phones and it’s hopeless. I refuse to pay that huge amount for an iPhone plus have an add’l monthly fee and have to sign a 2 year contract. Can I transfer the # and service I currently have into this phone?

Got this last year but i personally prefer a good android. Great camera. Great deal if you’re looking to get prime anyway. Gave to my son, it’s a good phone for your kid. Just learned the other day: you can remotely lock the phone and add a message for it to display! Found out my boy was downloading games when i told him not to. Locked with message “told you no more downloads. Chores x10 when you get home. Love mom.” hehe

I just got this phone and it does work with straight talk. But you have to get a Sim Card kit. I just ordered one with my phone. I was set up and ready to go in like ten minutes. The hardest part of it was adding my info on the straigh talk site. You can find the kit here: https://amzn.to/1MU2Q42

I got one last week when Collin posed about it. So far I am really liking it. I had a windows phone before and the app store on the fire phone is much better. The phone has a lot of features like a good camera, firefly, the ability to easily sync with Google mail and calendars and the graphics are really cool. Its a steal for 130.00! since you get a year of prime, its like getting the phone for 30.00! It has many more features than I thought it would and so far I really like it!
