Seriously, all I can think about when I see these deals is their awful customer service and they must have made so many people mad that they have to run crazy cheap promotions constantly to get more customers.

My kids and in laws fly Frontier all the time and like them! No problems here.

I flew Frontier in May and had no issues whatsoever. It turned out great, especially for the price!!

          Thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚

        • Ashley

I agree! I recently flew round trip with kids and I thought the service regardless of price great.

    • Mandy

You are correct Lisa!!! It is a really bad airline, but they are cheap. I’m guessing they don’t pay their people well, thus they have unhappy employees. I’ve flown with them once and my 1 CARRY ON cost $35. Every little thing was an additional fee, and everyone I encountered seemed miserable.

It’s good for deal seekers, but I would definitely check the fine print. Those baggage fees, $5 bottles of water, and the terrible customer service would make me rethink. I’d fly Southwest over Frontier any day. If you have any luggage, SW would come out cheaper and a much better experience.

      • Lisa

Yes you may have a decent experience, but when you have something go wrong good luck dealing with them. We were traveling over the weekend and our gate was next to one of their boarding planes. They had 4 extremely upset customers before taking off. One of them said he wishes he would have paid $300 more to fly a different airlines.

I’ve flown Frontier and while they’re super no frills it’s not terrible. You have to check in at their counter (at least I couldn’t figure out how to check in otherwise) and you get one personal item for free and that is it. Snacks, carry on bags that can’t fit beneath the seat in front of you, everything is extra. But for the price you absolutely cannot beat it. If you are fine with no frills and don’t have much luggage this is the perfect price for a connecting flight to a cheaper airport or just a weekend getaway.

    • debby

Exactly! For those looking for an inexpensive way to get from A to B (especially for a long weekend), it’s a great deal! Now if only I lived closer to a major airport…..lol

So much traffic! I’m still trying tho

  4. Charly

I couldn’t get through to the site until I went to flyfrontier.com and clicked on the sale banner. All the flights I searched though were way about $15 :/

What was it? A nasty comment like the jack in the box one yesterday? I swear, go be gross and lame somewhere else, we’re just trying to have fun and coupon here! Btw, the faces are cracking me up!

  7. Kidsallgone

What’s the point of a one-way ticket? Curious.

    • Sue

Most often I fly one way when I’m flying on another airline back. It can make for a cheaper flight overall. Also sometimes flying to another city is worth is since flight legs can be significantly cheaper out of a main hub for a route (ex: JFK or Newark to Europe is almost always cheaper than Philadelphia to anywhere in Europe). I’ve also taken trains to a destination and flown back and know friends who have flown somewhere and driven a car back, especially after a move. It also happens when you’re flying out of one airport but flying into another, sometimes also to reduce costs (ex: I could fly from Trenton, NJ to Chicago but then fly Chicago back to Philadelphia as I can take public transportation to both airports so my car wouldn’t get left at one).

    • Lynne

My in laws live in sd for the summer and az in the winter. They always purchase one way tickets because they never have a definite time they will head back.

  8. Susan

Can’t even get on the site to look it’s so over crowded.

  9. mrspotts45

Looks like the site is down again

We’ve flown Frontier several times now with our 4 kids (the youngest being 1). Their employees are nice and polite. We never had a bad customer service experience (even with our crying baby on a midnight flight). Their fares are cheap and you do pay extra for baggage, but you pay for baggage @ most airlines anyway, so it doesn’t bother us. Their fares are really no frills, no fancy blahs, just a trip to get you where you wanna be @ a great price. I’ve also called their customer service over the phone to ask questions, and No complaints here.

Thank you for the detailed review. Much appreciated from a mom of 3 young ones. πŸ™‚

    Good points πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Cheap prices don’t always have to mean bad customer service or bad flights! I fly Frontier regularly and have never encountered any problems with anything. They’re comparable to any other airline in my opinion, if not better! πŸ™‚
