  My 7yr old daughter and I really disliked it. It was kind of freaky in my opinion. I’ve always thought of the books as being sweet but while the movie had sweet parts, Nicole Kidmans character and what she was trying to accomplish was scary

  I have to disagree— my family LOVED this movie! I have 3 daughters (5,7,8) and they loved it along with me. I found it to be a really fantastic family film. So funny, adorable, and wicked awesome.
