I live in a suburb of Dallas and its pretty amazing how fast it can be sometimes too. I have been really impressed the handful of times I have done it over the last month.
I had a lot of problems in dallas area I’ve had them return 3/7 packages because they couldn’t find the address on the map. No call I had to reach out to them after amazon text notified me of updates. Then they tell me they don’t know where I35 is (we live right off 35 on frontage rd in a major city, no cross st). Our house is decades old and comes up on Bing, googlemaps, and mapquest probably more I’m sure. We just started going with 2 day saves an hour and a half phone call. Ups never has any problems.
May I ask how far from Dallas you live? I live south of the metroplex. I was wonder if this was Dallas only. Thanks!
Woo hooo!! Its in my area!!! My get the amazon carriers all the time 🙂
That’s great Jill!
It also services Orange County California. I’ve seen them at sprouts a few times.
What I can’t figure out is why Louisville Ky isn’t included. The factory is right down the street!
Houston is getting Amazon Now where you can get your delivery one hour after ordering. I think a few other big cities have it too. It’s just mind blowing!
I wish Amazon would take control over their own deliveries. It makes no sense how they pick and choose what gets left outside my door and what requires a signature, etc. I’ve had $200 necklaces left on my porch, but the other day I ordered a $8 screen protector for a new phone. I am waiting to use the phone until I get it, so I chose 1 day delivery. I was home all day, when at 530PM I get a email from Amazon that UPS couldn’t deliver the package because someone 21 or over wasn’t home to accept it. I was in my living room for the past 2 hours, no one knocked or rang the door bell. I look outside and they left a notice on my door that no one was home and someone either had to be home or leave it with someone else. I live in a gated townhome community, there is no property manager on site so there is no where else to leave it. I called amazon, who called UPS, and they said it is up to the driver’s decision on whether or not they leave packages outside. He/she could have very easily checked another box where I sign requesting the package be left, but no, the chose the option where someone had to be home to accept the package. REALLLY? It is MY package I should get to decide what gets done with it. Amazon said they had no control over it, that is what really irks me. I called UPS and told them not to bother redelivering it the next day as I wanted it returned to Amazon. This is why amazon will never really be on top, it is easier to go buy products at the store and have it in my hand immediately, rather than waiting for UPS to get their heads out of … anyway that is my vent. Next time I order off Amazon and UPS comes do deliver I may just refuse it.
Almost made it. We’re on the Jersey Shore.
