Does anyone know how to use surprise points before earned rewards points? It won’t let me use my $10 surprise points but keeps deducting my total purchase from my earned points. I know I can’t combine them, just want to use the surprise ones first as they expire first. Thanks!
What you’re trying to buy is most likely excluded from the $10 surprise points. Check the points’ exclusions. The items also must be sold through Sears or Kmart, rather than another vendor (depending on your surprise points). Not all items on Sears/Kmart’s sites are sold by them.
I would like to know this as well! I have $5 surprise points on a purchase, but it wont let me use these before my fitstudio (earned) points. I normally will just end up placing two different orders to make this work. It would be nice if you had the option!
It should give you an option on the review and pay page. But the surprise points and your earned points can be combined.
Jennie, some surprise points excludes ‘All coupons’. If you are using any coupons please remove it and see if it applies your $10 surprise points. If I have trouble with surprise points not applying correctly, I remove all items from cart and add single item with amount more than surprise points(in your case $11) and see it applies your $10 surprise points and $1 regular points. HTH
Sorry posted too early..this way you would know if your original items doesn’t qualify or some other problem with points where you can chat with CS.

If you don’t know what to use your points on, check the Christmas section at Sears. They have fingertip towels on sale for $1.34 and they are adorable. Very soft and come in many Christmas prints.

Thanks. Got the points. Does anyone know if there’s a filter for sorting items I can use the points on? Or want to share what you used them for? I’m thinking these will go to waste unless I can figure it out. 🙂
Usually if you filter it under “Sellers” and click Kmart or Sears, most things that show up you can redeem points on. I use surprise points for socks, towels, table cloths, car oil, windshield wipers, sheets, and all sorts of stuff! If you have time, it’s easier to just go in the store to get ideas you can use them on.

Collin mentioned a deal on the Sears and Kmart website awhile ago. It was $10 off $25 coupon when you sign up for email (I still got it even though I’m already signed up). I went to Kmart today. Bought 3 quarts of oil, a cute Indianapolis Colts tshirt, and a $1 toothpaste (to put me over $25) for $25 and some change. Used the $10 coupon, $5 fit studio points, AND I had $5 surprise points (it didn’t combine all my surprise points, just used the higher one I had earned in one setting) it used! I ended up paying a little over $5 for everything! *I tried to use the coupon a few days ago online and while it let you add your normal points, surprise points were excluded online. Yayyy!

I got it, but it excludes: Lands’ End, Food, Household Cleaning, Beauty and Health Care, Fragrances, Cosmetics, Office and School Supplies, Batteries, Party Supplies sold in the Greeting Card department, Books and Magazines, Prescriptions, Pharmacy, Alcohol and Tobacco items, all coupons, and clearance.
Not sure what else that leaves lol
Seasonal Hand soaps are only $1. I been getting those. This week I got 7 free hand soaps so far.
Wohoo I used them to order 3 more hand soaps. Yesterday I ordered 4. That’s 7 free season hand soaps. They smell amazing too. Thank you so much Collin!!!!

It’s only valid on the $1 hand soaps on sears.com, hand soaps are excluded at kmart.com. you can also get batteries at sears.com but not kmart.com, even tho they are specifically listed in the exclusions. The exclusion list doesn’t seem to apply to sears.com, problem is sears doesn’t carry most of the products that are excluded.

Where do you find the points you win or how long do they take to show up? I “won” 2000 points on the October Sky sweepstakes and it says they the points will be immediately credited to my account, but they aren’t under surprise points or my rewards points.
It gets added as your member points (regular points). There are no restrictions on its use and it doesn’t expire for 1 year ! 🙂
