It’s at target on all games/systems
I was planning to get a PS4 system for my son for Christmas this year, however I don’t know anything about the PS4 or accessories. Any help is appreciated for what the minimum is that I need to get!
Got email last night Game Stop has the beat DEAL going as of now. Alot of extras plus the Destiny PS4 plus movie downloads. I believe it was 329.00 or 349.00
TamE444, I would suggest getting a bundle; this one is a great value. At minimum, you need the console, a controller, an HDMI cable, USB cable, and power cable, and a headset, if you don’t want to have to listen to his gaming – I.E. the best value is buying a bundle package as all those items separately are way more than $349. With the PS4, you also need a Playstation Plus membership (12 months for $49.99 or 3 months for $17.99) which allows your son free downloads, early demos, exclusive offers, etc). Just search on Best Buy for “Playstation Plus membership”.
Currently, Target has this same bundle minus Fallout 3 and 4 and the charging station for $349 and there is a 15% cartwheel discount, making it $297 before tax and RedCard discount (also a great deal).
If you can financially swing it, I’d suggest looking for a 1TB (terabyte) PS4 instead of 500GB. With the new high-tech games, they take A TON of storage. If this is something he will have for a while, spring for the 1TB version – there is a Call of Duty Limited Edition bundle available for $429.99 which my boyfriend and I just bought from GameStop. The nice thing about that one is that since it’s limited edition and Call of Duty is so hugely popular, it will pretty much always have resale value.
Controllers will run you around $60 each. I highly suggest not getting a “no-name” brand as they do not last as long and sometimes don’t link properly. It’s better to spend more money once, then less money multiple times.
So to end my rant, go for a bundle package (ones with extra games are best) and get him a Playstation Plus membership – this one in Collin’s post is definitely an outstanding value. After the initial set-up, all he will need down the road are games and a second controller. Target also has games on sale Buy 2, Get 1 Free this week.

Best Buy had the same 1 TB call of duty ps4 for $429, but you also get fallout 4, a charging dock, and the movies fury and zero dark thirty.
I’m looking at these as well. This looks like a pretty good deal. Though I’ve been planning to get a separate 2TB hard drive (lots of deals on BF) for backup/storage instead of the bigger bundles. The Seagate ones say they’re compatible with PS4. Anyone tried this approach?
My husband just did this with the Seagate one. Took little time and worked great.

Target still has one for $297 using cartwheel but it don’t come with the game or charging dock. I got mine down to $267 with additional coupons.

Hey, I tried adding the bundle to my cart twice; both times, the additional items never popped up. This happened last night and this morning. (Sunday and Monday)
I just tried this deal, and when I click on your link, it says at the top that Fallout 4 and the charger console are included, but when I added it to my cart and checked out, it never Fallout 4 and the charger were never added. Anyone else having this issue???

Yeah, I ordered it and didn’t get anything saying I would get Fallout 4 or the charger. I called best buy and now I’m emailing them. So far I think they are trying to say it’s expired, but it doesn’t say that anywhere.

I just received the PS4 I ordered to get this deal, and Fallout 4 and the charging station are not in the box, nor are they on my receipt. 🙁 I was really looking forward to this deal working for my fiancé’s Christmas gift.
