What is the 15%off one item promo for? How long is it good for?

  2. AM

Awesome! Thanks! Just bought 2 sets!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  3. Katie

Is it just me or does that seem like such a huge amount of money for 74 pieces?

    • Debbie

They are expensive but worth the money. This is a fantastic price for them. They never go on sale!!

    • Suzyq

It is a lot but that’s the way price you’re gonna find and these will entertain for hours. Our kids love them and I think it’s totally worth it and better than lego’s. Easier clean up too πŸ™‚

    • Kim

Others are wrong. It is a decent price but in the past year they have been on sale between 40-50% off. It’s one of those things if you need it but it now if your like me and just wanted it actively wait check prices every so often check here every so often. I have over 200 and paid less than $90 for all.

      • barb

Anymore detailed information you could give would be greatly appreciated!

  4. kathryn

These are hands-down my kids (and mine too!) favorite toy. I highly recommend them for kids of all ages!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Thanks for your review Kathryn! Glad they are so well liked! πŸ™‚

  5. Allie

LOVE THESE!!! Adults and kiddos alike–we all love these and this is a great price! Thanks!

    • Erin

Do u think 1 set is enough?

      • Joy

For one child, this would be enough for them to build one thing at a time, maybe two little things. Definitely not enough for two because each child would not have enough for their ‘vision’ lbs.. I have two kids and I learned this the hard way!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! You are so welcome Allie!

  6. C

Is it just me, or is the link not working anymore?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am still seeing it load for me when I click through. Are you by chance on a mobile device? Or are you able to try it in a different browser? Hope that helps!

      • C

Got ’em! Thank you so much!!!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          Oh good! You’re welcome!

  7. klgrrl2002

and if you have not used your kids wishlist 10% discount….(I havn’t) it brings the total saved to $45.90……I only paid 59.23

    • SA

Did you order online or the app? ^

      • klgrrl2002

I ordered online. However when you go to the app…it will give you an online code to use. I wrote it down and then went online.

    • Susan

How do you save the 10%. I just added this to my son’s wishlist and I haven’t used a discount for any wish list items.

      • klgrrl2002

I didn’t have to add it to the wishlist. Just go to the app, click on the 10% coupon that appears at the bottom of the app when you open it. and when you scroll down you will see the promo code for target.com….write it down…its like 20 characters.

        • Cat

Does anyone have trouble getting the promo code for the 10% off? When I click the 10% off I see the barcode scan for in stores but the promo code is blank.

  8. Ga_Mom

If you are willing to spend a few bucks more and buy a bigger set, the Amazon deal is technically cheaper for the 100 piece set @ $89. I’ve read a lot of reviews and all of them recommend buying as many tiles as possible in a starter set! Just wanted to comment for anyone buying their first set.
Thanks for all your work Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing! You are so welcome!

    • Erin

Is it the magna tiles brand?

      • Susan

The Amazon deal for $89 is Playmags, which is different from the Valtech/Magna-tiles brand. From reviews, most people recommend the Valtech/Magna-tiles over other brands, and $1/tile or less seems to be a good deal. We do not have these and they seem like a huge investment, but I just took the risk and ordered the original deal posted from Target because it’s the best I’ve seen so far. I hope my kids LOVE them!

        • Ga_Mom

Thanks for the clarification, you are correct! I went ahead and ordered two sets from Target! THANKS!

  9. Heather

I purchased a set of these about five years ago. My mother in law keeps them at her house and as soon as they walk in the door they get them out. My 11 year still loves them and my youngest started playing with them at one year old.

    • Erin

Hmmm. I have a four year old and a nine year old who both love Legos, and these get almost no play time. I thought my kids were just too old for these.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww, how cool! Thanks for sharing Heather!

  10. Haley

I bought a discovery kids set of these for $15 at JCPenneys with a coupon. If they are a hit, I will take the plunge and buy the real thing!

    • Jennine

Yes Bon ton has them at that price online right now! with free shipping with code. I think it sounds like a good alternative. We have different ones so I didn’t buy but saw the deal and thought it was awesome!

  11. Katie

How do you do the wishlist to get the discount?

    • Jon

I finally found it in the app only after I had created 3 wish lists. Not sure why it was so hard. Then it showed up on the main app page next to the “parent mode” button.

  12. Adrian

We have a set of these and they are wonderful. An absolute must have!

Since I didn’t need to do this deal on the Mangna-Tiles, I did it on the Starlily Unicorn and used my red card. When all was said and done, I got it for $53.00 shipped to my nearest store!!!! My daughter is going to freak out on Christmas morning! We just had a conversation about how she shouldn’t expect it because it was too much. She will be so surprised. Thank you so much Colin for always posting these deals. I have been following you since 2009 and you have saved our family so much over the years, especially at Christmas time. Many blessings to you and your family!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh how awesome Adrian. That is so special that you can surprise her! You are very welcome πŸ™‚

I ordered Magformers for my 6 and 8 year old. I’m worried they may be too young for them. Are Magnatiles better or similar?

    • Angie

We have magformers. My kids are 2 and 4 and love them. Your kids should be fine. Mine just build random things, but your should be able to follow the instructions to build more complicated things.

  14. suzanne

thanks Collin! these are great. My 5 and 8 year old STILL love playing w/ these after three years.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Perfect! You are so welcome Suzanne!

  15. dontknock

I got two sets, 148 pieces… for about 147, all said and done.

I wasn’t even looking at these with all the hype about the Magformers recently, however, upon reading all the reviews and learning that these are better for ‘structural’ building play… i am going to return the Amazon Magformer Math 124 piece set that I got as a lightening deal yesterday and keep these Magna-tiles.

The Magformer 124 piece set, normally 199.99 I got for 150 + tax, which worked out to like 165 (with free shipping). When breaking it down by piece the Magformer set was about 1.35 a piece, the magna-tiles worked out to about a dollar.

Would anyone suggest to keep the magformers math set (no reviews anywhere online)?

I’m of the understanding that for a 3 year old, the magna-tiles are more practical in that buildings, bridges, things like that can be built, where as with the magformers its more geometric shapes and portability for a more creative mind?

    Any feedback is appreciated…

  16. jessica

Thanks to Collin and Lisa I just got the hot wheels ultimate garage & bonus 5 cars for $51.92! If i had a red card i could’ve saved an extra 5% , but that’s still a phenomenal deal. Thank you thank you thank you πŸ˜‰

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Jessica!

  17. Tina

we have both magformers and magnatiles. Both are fun. Magformers are better for building smaller items and more abstract shaped items. Magnatiles are better for building structures like houses. I found magformers are easier to get onsale and for younger kids. My last batch I got 72 for about $35. Whereas magnatiles i paid close to $1 each

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for your review Tina!

    • Cat

Can you use the sets together to build things?

      • Tina

Sorry, no luck in using the sets together. πŸ™ we tried a lot in an attempt to avoid having to get more of each type. But we have the regular magformers. Not sure about the magformers xl.
I spent a decent amount on all the magnetic toys, but I feel ok with it. They are fun for kids and adults.

  18. SW

Bummer, it appears it is no longer an available item? Called Target and they said to check back tomorrow???

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s odd. I am still seeing them available. Are you able to try it in a different browser? Hope that helps!

  19. dilek

does wish list works on android?

    • dilek

is target registry and wish list registry 2 different applications?

  20. dilek

Who could not use %10 wishlist coupon can call customer service, they will adjust it. I could not download it because it is not working for android right now, so they refunded %10 for me.

  21. Katie

I don’t see a coupon on my wishlist. Help? πŸ™

    • Jon

I finally found it in the app only after I had created 3 wish lists. Not sure why it was so hard. Then it showed up on the main app page next to the β€œparent mode” button.

      • Katie

Thanks! That worked! Got it! πŸ™‚

  22. Alicia

    No longer available online. πŸ™

  23. Sara

We’ve had the 100 pc set for 3.5 years. Still played with a few times a week. I have four boys but my 5 and 7 year old still play with these the most. 10 and 13 don’t really as much anymore. Great price! Going to pick up to add more to our collection.

  24. Katie

I can’t get the 15% off to work. Ugh!!!

    • Sarah

Same here. Customer service claims TGTKZN2T is for baby registry.

      • Katie

It was saying it was invalid and now it’s saying it’s not available at this time. πŸ™

      • Katie

As an update…I talked to customer service online. He told me the code had expired. But for my disappointment he issued me a $10 gc for my disappointment!

  25. casey r

15% off not working along with TOYS code

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn. It appears to have expired. πŸ™
