I see people buying Keurig all the time, but I heard to make coffee using this is expensive? Can anyone pls explain how coffee is expensive when used with Keurig I’m interested to have one because for one it’s mini and also I like the design

    • Cindy

Kim, the k-cups you buy to use in these single-serve machines can be expensive, but there are deals (Hip2Save posts lots of good k-cup deals!) and you can get a refillable k-cup for using your own regular ground coffee, avoiding the more expensive k-cups altogether. I put off buying a Keurig machine for years but now I wish I’d caved a lot sooner – I love mine!!

      • Melissa

I like using my Keurig when I just want a cup of coffee. If I need a pot, I use my regular coffee maker. But it just seems easier to use the Keurig for one cup at a time.

        • Cbeths

I agree. If there is more than one coffee drinker or you want more than one cup, it’s definitely going to be cheaper to use a regular coffee pot. The keurig is not necessarily frugal if that’s your normal means of making coffee. Now, if you stop at Starbucks daily, this is cheaper. And I do find the individual cups fresher than if I was to make a pot. Also, there are many varieties therefore giving you more choices without buying a pound of coffee.

Kim, if your whole household drinks coffee the plain old coffee pot is cheaper, but, if just one person drinks coffee, like just one cup in the morning, I would recommend a Keurig. My buy price for Kcups is .35 or less, so you’re spending .35 a day for coffee that consistently tastes great. This is also the best machine for a single one cup a day user. I have the larger one but used this one in a house we rented on vacation and actually liked it better, as did my mother in law who has the same one I have.

Cool! Got one for my son using my kohls charge, which already had a credit on it so even cheaper! And I went through ebates to get another 6%. Thank you, Collin!!

      Sweet deal Cindy! YW!

I bought this two days ago when it was still listed for $71.99, and paid $58 and change. Does Kohls do price adjustments?

    • Laura

They refunded my $8! (855) 564-5705 is the customer service number. It took 18 minutes and two different reps because they outsource and the language/accent barrier was way too great with the first c/s rep. But I did get the price adjustment!

    • mistrcheap

Laura, the price is still $71.99 before coupons, so likely not.

      • Laura

I typoed. It was $79.99 when I bought it, before coupons. This is the first time I’ve ever asked a store for a price adjustment. I think I may be hooked!

        • Lo

I love kohls cs. Haven’t had a bad run yet. I do emails so it takes longer

  6. Andi

Thanks so much Collin! My husband is a teacher and always has to run down to the lounge to get a cup of coffee. Now he can keep this in his classroom and grab a cup whenever he wants one!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What a great idea Andi! You’re welcome!

Off topic, but if you got the $15/50 Kohl’s coupon in the mail, I just discovered by accident that it works even if you don’t spend $50. I bought 4 board books for $3 with the $15/50, a $7 promo gift, and $10 rewards.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for sharing Elaine!

Sorry, off topic. Does anyone know what discounts kohl’s usually offers after Christmas. I am planning to purchase a few Christmas holiday items that I know will be on sale after Christmas so debating if I should buy now with 30%+ free ship or wait for after xmas? Thanks in advance!

  9. Amy B

I just tried to purchase this today and the price is staying at $79.99 in the cart … did I miss the lower pricing of $71.99? Drats! I knew I shouldn’t have waffled so much with the decision!! Any good codes coming out soon to take this price lower again?
