    I’m all over it!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome!

      • Brenda

I have a question, I bought a 300.00 e gift card and had them text it to my phone, it came through but the amount on it says $0.00. Does anyone know if it will give the right amount tomorrow since it activates tomorrow or does that seem wrong?

  2. Nicole

Awesome promotion! Question though- is there really a limit of 1 gift card? Thanks

    • Judy

      Agreed, I’m wondering same thing.

      • Judy

        Found this:
“Limit 1 transaction with a max discount of $30. Gift card redeemable starting 12/21/15 at 10am Central time. Discount does not apply to Target Visa, Target MasterCard, Target American Express or other retailer prepaid cards. Terms and conditions apply to gift cards.”

        • Caryn

Exactly what LindaK said max discount is $30 so cards can’t exceed
          $300

    • LindaK

I think the total can’t go over $300, so you could buy 6 at $50, 1 at $300, etc.

    • Desiree

You can buy as many gift cards as you want. The total just can’t be over $300. I ordered 3 $100 gift cards online.

    • Cheryl

I did it last year and bought a bunch of $5 $10 $25 etc and gave them as gifts throughout the year to teachers, bus drivers, birthdays gifts–it was great to have! The total can’t exceed $300 but you can get various amounts.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can purchase more than one gift card, however you have to do so in one transaction, with a max discount of $30. Hope that helps!

  3. Anu1c.

    Whoohoo thanks.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome!

  4. Sharleen

Limit is one transaction so I would assume you can buy more than one card in a transaction

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, with a max discount of $30.

  5. Erika

Can you buy 1 $300 gift card and then use it to buy several smaller Target gift cards? Or other gift cards like iTunes?

    • Desiree

Yes! Starting tomorrow you’ll be able to purchase other gift cards with the target gift cards. I plan to purchase Disney gift cards.

      • Dc

Disney gift cards are on my list for my niece and nephew. They’re going to Disney in March. Do you know If they have lower denominations in the store? I’m only seeing $50 and $100 options online.

        • Cbeths

If I remember correctly the lowest denomination for Disney gift card in my store was $50.

          • Dc

            Thank you!

        • Amanda

They do have $25 ones in store but I’ve heard they are hard to get at some stores.

    • LilKim

The gcs that you buy today with the promotion won’t be redeemable until tomorrow (after the promo is over)

  6. Kir

Just looked and you seem to be able to buy multiple gift cards. It just needs to be purchased in one transaction and the discount limit is $30.00.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yes! Thanks for sharing!

  7. Kat

It looks like the only gift cards available online are e-gift cards.

  8. Katie

**NO REDcard discount. Limit one transaction not one gift card per household. Max amount that can receive a discount is $300 but you are able to buy more than that amount without a discount.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, you are correct. Sorry for the confusion, just fixed the wording in the post.

  9. carol

Darn i bought my gift cards yesterday i forgot about the deal. Too bad lol could have said 6 dollars.

    • Brianna

Re buy one using those gift cards 🙂

    • Jen

Go back with your receipt. Customer service will refund the difference.

      • carol

        Thank you will do!

  10. Andrea

Not sure if I did get my red card discount too…doesn’t look like it though.

    • A

Can’t get redcard discount on giftcards.

      • Karen

I get my Red card discount when I buy gift cards.

        • Tracy G

This is true for gift cards other than the Target ones.

  11. Lori

For those who ordered online when will the gift cards arrive? By Christmas or after?

    • LindaK

My online option was for egift cards only, no physical cards shipped. I received the egift cards immediately but they aren’t valid until tomorrow.

      • Brenda

How does the egift card work, do you print it out and they scan that?

        • gater

In order to use egift cards in store you have to download the target app and enter the cards into that and they can scan it from there. There are instructions when you get the email for the gift card but it’s a pain in the butt !

          • Brenda

Thanks, it sounds like it is.

          • Cbeths

It is a pain with the eGift cards. Can I use my eGift card to buy a physical one in the store?

          • mel

You don’t have to have the app, but you do need a smart phone (or tablet). When I get eGC’s from Swagbucks, I open the link on my phone then take a screen shot, which saves to my photo gallery. Or you can bookmark the gc page. All I have to do is open the gallery (or bookmark) and the cashier can scan the bar code. It’s such a pain to get the gc through the app now since they changed the format.

            • Jennifer

You can just print the egiftcard

      • Ang

Hate e gift cards. Maybe u can use e-
gift card online tomorrow to buy real gift card?

  12. Diana

Has anyone done this in store? If so, is it active right away or do we wait until tomorrow for in store purchases to be active too?

    • sf

I bought one this morning. Will not be active til tomorrow.

  13. Sam

Can I use some target gift cards I have now to buy a target gift card on discount ?

    • Brianna

      Yes

  14. Brianna

If you have a previous gift card, you can use it (up to 4) to buy a new one for an additional 10% off 🙂

  15. Tracy

It looks like the minimum gc you can buy is $10. Has anyone tried buying several smaller ($5) gc’s with this deal?

  16. 5pink1blue

Wait – so if I order on-line I only get an e-card? Last year I got gc mailed to me.

    • Tracy

You can get them mailed to you but not sure how long it’ll take to get them.

      • Brenda

I’m not seeing the mail option only email or text, but I remember last year they did mail them.

    • Caryn

I did too but this year that and store pickup aren’t options

  17. Lolita

So you can use it at the store and get an extra 5% off your entire order if you use the Target card? Or just theportion that is being paid with your Target card, and no discount for the gift card portion.

    • Stefanie

Only the portion being paid with your REDcard gets the discount

    • alienna21

That’s what I was thinking, too. If you buy it to use, you’ll be using the gc instead of the redcard (if you have one) on future purchases, so you wouldn’t be getting the redcard discount. Which amounts to, really, only an additional 5% savings instead of the 10%. However, I don’t think you get the redcard discount if you purchase gc, target or otherwise. So buying gc seems like the best way/value to use with this promotion.

  18. Teri

Anyone else getting charged tax on the gift cards? I don’t think I’ve paid tax when purchasing in store. There’s nothing else in my cart.

    • Teri

Nevermind, it went away when I entered recipients name.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Oh good!

  19. Hart

Seems like this is a better deal than the 5% off when u use red card, unless im missing something

    • Ashley

Nope, it’s better, bc you’re saving an extra 5%! 🙂

    • Caryn

It is because this is 10% 👍

  20. Stefanie

I did a big shopping trip at Target yesterday, I wish I would have bought gift cards to pay with and then see if they’d adjust my gift card purchase receipt today!

  21. Caryn

    Don’t forget to use ebates!!

    • Shirley

no cashback on gift card purchase

    • Jenna

Ebates says the 2% isn’t valid on target gift cards, but I tried it anyway! Thanks for the reminder.

  22. Sue

Wondering since there is a stipulated activation date for these (December 21 at 10 a.m. CT, is there an expiration date (date it mst be used by)?

  23. Stacey

Did everyone’s e gift card arrive instantly? I’m still waiting so just wanted to check.

    • newbeecouponer

      Mine arrived 21 mins later.

    • Kim

It says 4 hours at checkout. After 5 I would call.

  24. AMF

Thank you! I have a Super Target near by with a Starbucks inside. Now I have $30 in free groceries or coffee!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Perfect! You are so welcome!

  25. DeaLover

I bought a $25.00 egift card using another giftcard. I didnt know it’s possible. Paid 22.50 for 25

  26. Becky A.

Is there a limit to how many gift cards you can use to pay for a transaction in-store? I have 6 $50 gift cards and want to buy 3 $100 ones with the discount using the 6 cards.

    • Suzanne

You can use as many gift cards as you need to pay for your purchases in store 🙂

  27. Mackenzie

So if i buy in store, the 10% automatically comes off?

  28. debbie

Does anyone know if you can pay your Target Red card monthly payment with gift cards?

    • Sk

      Unfortunately no

  29. Sk

Thank you! I bought $200 gc from eBay a few weeks ago for $185 (thanks to H2S’s post) and I used that with some of the other gift cards I have on hand and total came out to $9.xx oop! For a $300 card. Yay!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Wow! Super great deal!

  30. Christy

Target has “The Martian” movie on dvd on pre-order for $19.99 …. Plus you get a $10 gift card…. Making it $9.xx after red card and gift card. Looks like it’ll ship 1-12-16

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up!

  31. Cbeths

So…. I use my red card a lot because you always get free shipping. So if I’m using the gift cards online later next year am in losing the free shipping benefit? Or will I still get free shipping since I have my redcard on file, even though I’m using gift cards? Anyone know?

    • Naomi

You will get free shipping for having red card in file.

  32. Ryan

Has anybody else had an issue that it will only let you by $300 worth online. I bought one and was going to by a second one for a family member (different transaction) and it won’t take the discount

    • Carla

It says there’s a limit of $30 discount per household.

  33. tljestus

Can u use red card for additional 5% off

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It will not discount the purchase of a Target Gift Card.

  34. Amanda

Has anyone bought one online and then gone in to buy in store? Just wondering if they track it somehow so you can only do it once.

    • Kristen

      I did. Hoping it doesn’t get cancelled…

  35. Mrs. T

Looking for walmart and target e-gift cards. Have amazon code ranging from $5-$15. Looking for even exchanges. Make me an offer.

    • Mrs. T

      Sorry wrong comment section!

  36. Becky A.

My store is also giving away a free small Icee this week for redcard holders!! What a nice surprise when I went to grab one on my way in!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! 😀
