I tried to redeem for the Disney gift card, but it said I had reached my limit. I have redeemed for 4 different gift cards over the last 4 years. So I guess you can only redeem for 4gift cards over the lifetime of your Disney Movie Rewards account? Does this sound correct?

Yes, Kristen, I ran into the same thing. The very first one I got was a few years ago. I’m thinking of opening a new account under my husbands name to see if we can get 4 more😉
oh man. Thanks Lori. Is there a way to transfer points to someone else’s account? I have enough for a gift card, but did not know there was a lifetime limit. I would have moved them to my husband if I had known.

Can you use gift cards to purchase tickets online through them? We are planning a trip over Christmas and I don’t think I will be able to buy them at the park at that time!
Yes you can pay with giftcards. Just be advised though I think there is a limit on how many you can use to pay for your tickets. There is a special number you can call when paying with a large number of giftcards, but I’d have to ask my mom what it is since that’s the way they paid for their annual passes this year. Oh, and you can buy the tickets at the park, but it’s so much better to have them in advance so that you a) don’t have to wait in line to buy tickets before entering the park, which wastes time, b) you can activate them when purchased in advance & then book your fast passes online (a huge help, especially if you have LOs who don’t do well waiting in line, especially if you’re going at Christmas because that’s one of their busiest times of the year) & c) a lot of times you can get your tickets cheaper by buying in advance. Also be sure to get your giftcards that you’re doing things like using your red card (if you have one) @ target to get the 5% off, I think BJs & SamsClub sell discounted cards, or you could buy discounted cards off of Raise when they’re available. I am one hundred percent sure there is NO limit when paying online for Disney Cruise Line. Its just tedious to do it that way, but it saves a ton of money. Call WDW guest services and ask to be sure.

Try refreshing the site too. It told me I had a transaction in process so I went and started from the dmr main page again and it worked.

Do you know whether the Disney gift card is sent via mail or email? We are leaving for our trip in one week, and if it is sent by snail mail, we might not get it in time…
