   I just wanted to say that this is a GREAT price for these coats. I bought one at full price last year and LIVE in it. They are super warm (I live in Chicago) and very high quality.

   Kim–I want to order one, can I pick your brain? I need a warm coat for Michigan winters, sounds like this would work? Also, many (many) of the reviewers complain about the feathers coming out like crazy, Is this a problem for yours? I want to buy the black one, worried about white downy feathers sticking out all the time. Thanks for any insight!

  I’ve had two down puffer coats from Eddie Bauer in the last five years, and (bc I bought a white one) through many washings, they both look new. I’ve had maybe a dozen feathers come out. I love these coats.

  I don’t have the exact same one as pictured, but a similar style. I have not noticed the feathers coming out…only every once in a while, which I think is fairly common for a down coat. Maybe a dozen total in the year that I’ve owned it. It’s a lighter weight coat, but definitely holds the warmth. I really like the quality and would buy another Eddie Bauer.

   I have the slope side down parka and absolutely love it. It is very warm and the fit is flattering. I will say, I had to return 2 of these because the feathers were coming out like crazy, but the Eddie Bauer workers and customer service employees go above and beyond to make sure they get it right. I actually took the tags off of the coat and wore it in NYC, then noticed the feather problem, they let me return it, no problem! I now have one that doesn’t shed feathers and I love it! I’m even considering getting a different color! Don’t forget to use ebates, 3% cash back right now! Hope this helps! 🙂
