I was tempted to buy this before but glad I waited, a great price! Hope it’s as good as people say.

  2. Brittany

Got it!!! Thank you! This has been on my wish list.:)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay! You’re welcome Brittany!

  3. Gail

I have this pressure cooker and I love it, works great and is so easy to use.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh awesome! Thanks for such great feedback Gail! Glad to hear how well it works!

Bought this and returned it as it stops working after first use. Might be lemon. Read reviews, many complaint abt it stops working after first month and getting it fixed was nightmare.

    • Alex

I think you had a lemon. Bummer! I bought my first Instant Pot Duo last July and have loved it and used it so much that my mother-in-law bought me a second for Christmas. I use both daily for my family of six. I have had no problem with either, however, I have heard that Amazon and Instant Pot both are good if you have any issues. I belong to an Instant Pot group on Facebook with thousands of members and it is very rare to hear of a problem and any that have occurred are also quick to be resolved it seems.

      • YG

The first shipment had a large dent. Second was a lemon. I just didn’t want the hassles plus the negative reviews were worrying me (coz the problems seemed to appear after 1st month after Amazon return period ended).

I’ve been watching this item for a long time… never bought from the Amazon Warehouse…crossing my fingers!

    • Kim

I’ve had great luck with my purchases from Amazon Warehouse. They have a liberal return policy so if you’re unhappy with your purchase just let them know.

  6. Sheree

I bought this in December. My best purchase ever!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Glad to hear that Sheree!

I had the basic model of this one few years before and the pot peels paint like crazy when washing , cannot remove the lid for thorough washing so lid never got fully clean, rice sticks very bad, if I put even little more water to prevent sticking, it becomes a fountain 😒, was unable to find a replacement pot anywhere other than the manufacturers and for that price with shipping I could just buy a new cooker and that’s what I did. Purchased a simple aroma stainless steel rice cooker and that’s my best purchase! Can add more water so rice comes so soft, so easy to wash as rice doesn’t stick. Even if it sticks just soak with water for 10 mins n its out!

    • Nanda

This is crazy. The pot is stainless steel and the lid cimes completely apart fir cleaning and is made of high quality material. It dies not peel whatsoever.

      • jac

Also, you can buy a replacement pot on amazon that is stainless steel, if for some reason yours came with a painted pot (though I agree w/ Nanda and have never seen this brand/model come with anything but a stainless steel pot. Same for lid: composed primarily of stainless steel, w/ some type of plastic for the handle, and the silicone gasket inside is entirely (and easily) removable, as is the stainless steel vent cover. GREAT quality pressure cooker. I’ve had mine for about 18 months and use it at least a few times a week. No problems whatsoever (knock on wood…).

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad your new one works so well! Thanks so much for your review!

  8. Amy

I believe the price when up a tad…

  9. Chipu

    Got this in December…love it.!!

  10. Alex

Sorry for your experience. This model actually has a stainless steel pot, so clean up is easy and it is dishwasher safe. I am not sure what could be peeling off on your older model, unless your model did not have a stainless steel pot. Also, the kid totally comes off. Is there a chance you may not have owned an Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1? Replacement pots are sold on Amazon and on Instant Pot’s website. I have two of this model and use both daily for my family of six. I love it and it has made cooking for my busy family much easier.

  11. Shannon

Ordered one! It was $60, but went up to $65. This will be my second 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy you could snag the deal Shannon!

  13. TS

Had ours for about 5 months and we love it! Easy to use and clean and can make so many easy one pot meals.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Glad to hear it!

  14. Kate

No longer available. I just tried buying one. Bummer!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh bummer 🙁

  15. Kat

Collin – I’d love to hear what people make in their pressure cookers. Maybe a separate post…..I recently bought one but I have to say, I’m intimidated to use it! Is there any hope for me? :))
    Thanks!

I don’t cook meals in mine, but use it to make yogurt, hard boil eggs, cook dry beans & legumes, etc.

Thanks, Kim & Tammy, for the link & suggestions.

I had a PowerPressure XL Cooker on my wish list forever but the as seen on tv price was $129 for the 8qt…My husband found it for me at Sam’s Warehouse for $89! It is AMAZING!! So if anyone didn’t make this deal I urge you to consider trying your local Sam’s 🙂

  17. ayeah14

I picked up the 6 in 1 @ walmart.com it was $89.00 but it came with a free Ninja pro. I already had one so I sold it so I only paid around $55.00

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet find! Thanks for sharing!
