      Yay! You’re so welcome!

We LOVE our Blendtec. We’ve had it a bit over 8 years and use it daily. We have the mix-and-blend model bc we make a lot of bread and it can mix 4 loaves without trouble.

I love me some blendtec! Using my Ninja with its deathly blades begrudgingly every day dreaming of the bledntec I used to use while managing at Panera.

Love my blendtec! I’ve had mine for 4 years and have used it almost daily but recently the rubber in the jar broke down causing a leak. I contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement jar, no charge! A++++

Thanks so much for the feedback Susan!

So glad to hear that! Thanks for sharing!

How does it compare to a vitamix blender ?

  7. Jeannie

How do these compare with the Vitamix? Costco has a coupon offer for the Vitamix right now but even with that, it is still a lot of money to me.

This is a great price for a Blendtec! Before I bought mine I watched prices for a long time.

That being said, am I the only one disappointed in my Blendtec? I bought mine because I liked making smoothies with frozen fruit and my old blender would take a long time to blend big pieces of frozen watermelon. I bought my blendtec new and expected to be able to put big pieces of frozen watermelon, but it was just like my old blender, where I have to cut them up into smaller pieces first. And it is much louder than my old blender. Also, I had boiled pumpkin this fall and was blending it to put it away as puree in my freezer. My Blendtec started smoking and it turned out the rubber in the jar was burned out. They did replace it for free though!

Thanks so much for your honest review! Sorry to hear you had to get a replacement!

Vitamix and Blendtec are so similar in capability, it is really just your taste in style and look. But just in case those interested in this didn’t realize, this is the old model. Same one I have, which is great, but there is a newer model. At $180 though, that is a great price!

Does anyone know if this blender will pulverized seeds like strawberries and raspberries seeds? I love having these fruits in my smoothy but can not stand the seeds. When I’m eating them whole, it’s fine but strangely when drinking them, I have an aversion to them. Thanks.

    • Lisa

I have this blender and often out raspberries and strawberries in my smoothies. While I think it works well, the seeds are still there.

I brought a blandertec 570 at home goods
For $150, this model is for supply Costco only. It’s great too.

    • Yayita

Me too!! I was so shocked to find one at Homegoods!!

I tried both blenders. In my opinion Vitamix is worth every penny. Costco has it on sale this week, starting Thursday. Every time I make a soup in Vitamix it’s perfect- nice & hot very smooth. Blendex doesn’t blend perfectly veggies, leaves chunks and not hot enough. Also if you use it to make baby food Blendex is waste of time. Love my Vitamix 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the honest review!
