Wow I did not know this. I had to return a bag of oranges that were not satisfactory a few days ago and I only received a 100% refund. Maybe oranges don’t qualify as fresh produce?? It seems like they should.
I have returned meat that reeked when I opened the plastic (opened the same day I bought it) and only got purchase price back.
Most grocery stores have the same return policy on produce too. I returned quest fresco with mold to Giant that I hadn’t noticed when I purchased and received back double what I paid.

Returned rancid chicken just recently and only got my money back. Not 200% and not money back plus another package. Hmmm!
They no longer honor the 200% but if you complain that they changed the rules (a number of breach of contract suits have been filed against them) to the store manager it is usually honored.
They have been sued in S. Carolina over not honoring this guarantee. I don’t know if this is still accurate that they offer a guarantee – I think that is no longer true.
