Check out this positive review on Amazon…

This is a great thing to use for brunch to keep your juice cold. I can’t make ice cubes since my freezer is too full to have trays of ice cubes and I have hard water here so I don’t like using hard tap ice cubes. This is the perfect solution to have a cooling tube instead. It doesn’t take up space in your freezer and it doesn’t dilute your drink. Since warm weather is coming soon, this would be perfect for Sangria because it won’t be diluted by water!

This might be a great product but every one of these 21 reviews are not verified purchases.
Amazon needs to eliminate this type of review.

Verified purchases don’t mean much. Companies will just have crowd sourcing apps give codes to a pre screened group to purchase the product for almost nothing and then reimburse them for the cost after they write a review. I know, I’ve been one of those pre screened recipients.
Then they don’t have to disclose it was free and it is technically a verified purchase. They do have to disclose that it was at a discounted rate, but they just put it at the bottom of the review that most people don’t get to anyways.

Would you agree that everyone of THESE reviews were compensated in some way?
They all state so at the end of the review.

        • ~jenn~

I never said they were or were not compensated.
I believe your comment stated that they were not “verified purchases”. Meaning that because they are not verified, they can not be held accountable as much as a verified purchase.
I was simply saying verified purchases can be compensated as well and therefore, in my opinion, don’t necessarily hold any more validity as any other review.

So by extension NO amazon review can be trusted. I think in aggregate the verifified purchases can be trusted provided there are many. 21 reviews with no verified purchases is highly suspect. Collins listed this as highly rated. I LOVE THIS SITE , but question that statement.
