My favorite brand of milk bags… also my favorite brand of breasts pads (they have adhesive.) If anyone is in the market for these.

Great price. Does anyone know if baby Rus price matches and also does 20% off today?

    • heather

It’s 1 or the other, they won’t do both! 🙁

  5. JEBG

Got 2 boxes. Didn’t do subscription but great price regardless! I’m 36 weeks and prepping for our final bundle. Thanks for posting!

As a former volunteer breastfeeding counselor, I just want to say “yay” for the moms on this site and encourage you! My nursing babes are all grown now, and I’m so grateful for the women who helped me along the way.

  7. R

    Needed them, thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW!

  8. Nikole

Im pregnant with twins but never had enough milk with my 1st to use bags so as much as i want these idk if it will just be a waste or not

    • Jill

Not a waste. Your body will remember how to make milk and more than likely produce more than before. Just keep removing milk. My first child relied on donor milk and I went on to triadem nurse and currently tandem nursing. Bodies are incredible, don’t let one nursing journey define your next. You got this!! Good luck and congrats!!!

      • Nikole

Thank you! Its nice to hear encouragement! I will buy them and try my hardest.

        • Dawn

I had a horrible experience with my 1st and only nursed for 2 weeks. After some encouragement from friends, I decided to give it a try with my 2nd, and I’ve been nursing him since he was born, and he’s almost 3 months. ❤️

    • Lynne

I agree with Jill. With my first I produced just enough for baby….now on my third who was 8 weeks early and I was very nervous I wouldn’t be able to produce anything…..I’ve got enough that I am able to donate my extra to a milk bank!

    • Melloddie

Don’t fret. Took me to get it down right on my third baby currently. I didn’t produce (or at least that’s what I thought) enough with my first 2, but now I know it’s because I didn’t get enough guidance and gave up way too soon. My dd right now bf exclusively. Just remember to keep nursing even if you may think you got nothing , the more you nurse the more your body will produce…and drink lots of liquid. Good luck!!!

      • Linda

I currently am tandem nursing a 2 yr old and a 10 month old … Drink plenty of water and I find eating oatmeal every morning helps as well. Not the quick style oatmeal, the thick cut oats works for me the best.

    • Nikole

      Thank you ladies!

    • Autumn

I didn’t do well at all with my first, either. I learned so much from that experience, and I decided to educate myself more. I nursed my second little boy until he was nearly 16 months. I worked full time, and I decided to stop pumping at work after he turned a year old. He still nursed in the evenings and at night. I still had milk, but he lost interest. It was the best experience of my life. You can definitely do it if you set your mind to it. Feel free to friend me on Facebook, and I can add you to an amazing Breastfeeding group of wonderful ladies that helped me succeed. My name on Facebook is Autumn Crow VanMeter – I can post a link to my profile in a reply if you are interested 🙂

These are the bags that the milk bank I donate to uses…..honestly I prefer the up & up target brand I feel like they are thicker and a bit sturdier. These are about the only lansinoh product that I’m not in love with.

    • Stacy G

I have to agree with you on the up & up bags.
I used the lansinoh with my first 2 and loved them but someone told me to try the up & up after I lost milk from the lansinoh bags getting holes in them and they are a lot thicker and I have never had a problem.

  10. Renae

Because there are so many awesome mom’s commenting I’m curious…my little one is 2 1/2 weeks old…I’m wondering when I should start pumping. I don’t have to go to work until august but would like to have some stored up

    • Jennifer

Start now! It’s all about supply and demand in the early week. Get in a pump when you have time to and you can freeze it. All the extra pumps will signal your body to make more milk and you’ll be able to build up your freeze stash 🙂 Congrats and good luck!

    • Lynne

Now is as good a time as any. Start with pumping once a day…..mornings were always better for me since I was always ‘full’ first thing. Then closer to when you need to go back add a second pumping time, maybe after you feed baby at night. Enjoy all those sweet new baby snuggles!

    • heather

I agree. Start now! By the time I stopped bf at 11 months old, I had 3.5 months worth of frozen milk for my dd! It got us through flu season. Plus, it gets much more difficult to pump once you go back to work (definitely not impossible, but I travel a lot and it was very stressful). Good luck!

    • suzyq

I started early with my second and instead of adding in extra pumping times (I also had a toddler to chase around) I would just nurse on one side each feeding and pump simultaneously on the other side and then switch sides for the next feeding. It gave me more than enough milk and I didn’t have to squeeze in extra times to pump.

    • Hannah

I wouldn’t pump too much right away. You don’t want to create an oversupply and then NEED to pump to prevent mastitis.

    • Autumn

It’s recommended to wait until 6 weeks to start pumping to prevent an oversupply, unless you have to return to work right away. An oversupply sounds great, but it can cause mastitis, clogged ducts, etc. All of which are painful. You should have plenty of time to stock up on milk through the summer. You don’t want to be forced to pump. Your body will make whatever your baby needs… it’s all supply and demand 🙂

    • Linda

I wouldn’t start right away your body is still adjusting to your newborns demands. If you pump too early your body is going to create an oversupply which then leads to more problems , overactive letdown, mastsis, clogged ducts etc… Also you may get a foremilk/hind milk imbalance. 6-8 weeks is usually the right time to start, you can pump after each nursing session don’t be surprised if you get about 1/2 oz per pump session as that is normal when nursing and trying to pump. You may want to pump right after morning feed as that’s when your usually full the most. Currently nursing 2 yr old and 10 month old and pump at work. Good luck and enjoy every moment!

      • Renae

Thank you all so much! I love the hip2save community so much!

    • Demi

We just finished our BF class and it was recommended by the IBCLC that you not begin pumping until 4 weeks.

  11. SJ

I wish these bags didn’t leak and break so much. I don’t produce enough for my sweet boy and rely on donor milk. 3 out of 5 bags leak wasting a lot of precious gold.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! Sorry to hear they had leaked! 🙁 Thanks for sharing your experience!

  12. LM

I get this price all the time at target. Usually target online price or Amazon are around this on the bags and the nursing pads are cheaper too and I just price match 🙂

  13. Just Me

I just used regular freezer bags on the second kid lol.

  14. rosie

When I got my prescription for my pump, it included 8 boxes of bags as well. I think the bags they gave me were Medela. Check what your insurance covers. Hth
