Ok, everyone…have a question. 😊 My daughter is 18, so I’m unfamiliar with how shopkins work. I’m always looking for neat “little girl gifts” for those in need at Christmas. These look adorable! Is this something you’d have to buy a complete “set-up” to be able to use it? Or can they be used as they are, right from the package? Hope this makes sense.
You don’t need anything to start collecting. Just buy a pack and you’re ready to start. My daughter went through a phase where she loved collecting them. She would even attend the learning express trade days and trade with other collectors. She doesn’t ask for them anymore but still plays with them. They are kinda dumb in my opinion but my daughter and her cousins were really into them for awhile. Now they are into littlest pet shop.

Right as they are is fine. They do sell mini play sets with themed figures as well that are separate from the regular “seasons.” These things would be like pure gold to kids less fortunate, they’re so ridiculously popular!
Why this comment??? “pure gold to kids less fortunate”?? All kids, no matter of class, act as if these are “pure gold”.

I mean, maybe she’s suggesting to stock up for kids less fortunate?? I never got the thrill of Shopkins. All those little pieces drive me nuts!
Um…the original commenter mentioned buying them for those in need around Christmas so…that’s the direction I followed? Yes they are pure gold for any child but anyone would be lying if they said they’ve seen big, popular brands in the Toys for Tots bins. It actually is a necessary comment especially when it comes to Shopkins because you wouldn’t believe the greed around them, especially from grown adults (sometimes without kids) that just sell them for 5 times as much online.
2.99 is the price for the two packs which is the everyday usual price. The pictures in the post are for items that are 4.99. Hope this helps in case anyone was confused.
