Did you use VISA CHECKOUT? If you’re just going through the checkout process and paying with your Visa, that is not the same. Visa Checkout is kinda like Paypal. I’s a separate acct you have to log into, then select the credit card you have on file to pay with. A lot of online stores have the Visa Ckout option now. If you don’t have an acct, you can sign up real quick. I made one for my mom last night, she paid with MC and received the $10 bonus. Email came about 10-15 minutes after checking out.

No you have to use visa checkout or you won’t get bonus
When u get ready to checkout it will give u the option of visa checkout, and u can sign up then, you are just making an account to store your card with Visa, if I’m not mistaken….
visa checkout is like paypal, you can store whatever card you like. inorder to get this promotion you have to checkout with visa checkout

I wonder if some are getting confused with term “Visa Checkout”? Visa Checkout (the service) is not the same thing as checking out with a Visa card. Maybe some folks are just selecting Visa as a payment option as opposed to selecting Visa Checkout and signing in (or setting up an account.) There seemed to be a lot of confusion with this last time it was posted.

Can anyone explain, what is visa checkout? Like you have to pay through Visa card ?
No there is a checkout process like credit card, PayPal or Visa Checkout. It is a program that you sign up for and put in your credit card info and personal information. Once you do that you have a blue link at the bottom of Starbucks and many other retailers that you click. It will automatically ask are you new or just sign in. You put your cc info and personal info and your ready to checkout. You must use this Visa Checkout to obtain the extra $10.00. Hope that helps some!

An information about what happened when I used Visa Checkout. As Colin mentioned above, you can use your Mastercard, Discover or major debit or credit card. Yes that you can. I used my Master card and it worked fine meaning I could check out using my Master card in VISA checkout. But the bonus didn’t show up. I thought that the deal was over, that may be I was too late. However I called Starbucks customer service, explained my situation and they had my order cancelled. They said that it is only when I use a “VISA” card that the bonus shows up. Otherwise, it doesn’t (even with the VISA checkout).
I tried again this time with a VISA card and using VISA checkout. It worked fine and I got the bonus 🙂
I used Visa check out and used my Discover card and I had no problem I got the extra $10 credit

Yes it does. I am not saying it does not. I indeed paid like that. It just so happened that the bonus in my case did not show up. I used a MasterCard to pay with VISA checkout.

Collin clearly said that though and it’s a VISA checkout promo, so it makes sense.
You can do it again and make sure you follow the process correctly. There is no need to beware the visa checkout button is dark blue it’s pretty hard to miss.

Are you using a prepaid card? I don’t think they accept those. I tried adding a $50 card I won through a contest just to have on file, and it wouldn’t accept it.

Works great. Matter of fact I was able to use it a couple of times in different configurations. Having bonus credits through this promotion or thru the occasional Groupon offers helps make Starbucks reasonable for a great cup of coffee. I love being able to check out using my phone!
Just placed an order and it worked. At the check out it keeps showing only as a $ 10.You won’t see it as a $ 20 until you will get the order confirmation in the email.

One per Visa checkout account per user reported on Mother’s Day. Just setup different Visa checkout and use different name and credit card. Supposed to be one per person, so name on Visa checkout needs to be different each time. But one can have middle initial and one not. I always make sure I sent to a different person than name on Visa checkout. Got 3 so far
